Ioannes Davies Herefordiensis, vulgo saepissime John Davies of Hereford (illa in urbe natus anno circiter 1565; Londinii mortuus mense Iulio 1618) fuit scripturae magister et auctor qui Anglice de rebus theologicis et paedagogicis scripsit. Epigrammata composuit, et praecipue characteras amicorum aliorumque coaevorum, in libro collecta The Scourge of Folly; ibi reperitur epigramma "To Our English Terence, Mr. Will: Shake-speare". Ioannem Davies carmen "A Lover's Complaint" scripsisse (anno 1609 ad caudam sonettorum Shakesperianorum divulgatum) suadebat Brian Vickers in libro anno 2007 divulgato, multis abnuentibus.[1]
