Diljit Dosanjh and I were excited to be among the first Indians at Jimmy Fallon’s show: Clinton Charles
Clinton Charles, pianist and music producer, recently made a debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, sharing the stage with the acclaimed Indian artist Diljit Dosanjh. The evening was a landmark moment for both Indian artistes, showcasing their talent on one of America's most popular late-night shows.
Charles cherished every moment on the show, sharing, "The most special moment for me was when the entire audience was on their feet dancing to our music.
Jimmy Fallon came to each one of us after the show, shook our hands, congratulating us on putting up one of the best performances they had witnessed in a long time. Another fun moment backstage was when Diljit had Jimmy Fallon attempt to speak Punjabi. It was hilarious and everyone was in splits. Jimmy was a real sport and absolutely nailed the Punjabi lines."
Diljit Dosanjh, known for his electrifying performances, added his magic to the show. Charles, in awe of Diljit’s prowess, remarked, “He is truly a trendsetter. He recently sold out a stadium in Vancouver and now, after this performance, he has set the benchmark really high for all Indian artistes. It was a fantastic experience overall, one of the best stages I've ever been on. The audience truly pumped us, and we were really excited to be among the first Indians to perform on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I think we pulled it off fantastically as a team and take back some memories that will hold our heads high in pride for the years to come.”
The performance was not just a live event but also reached a global audience through live TV. Charles added, "A lot of people watched us on live TV, and I've received praises and well wishes from friends, family, and colleagues from all over the globe. It's definitely something that I will cherish for the rest of my life."
The night was a testament to the rising influence of Indian artists on the global stage, and Charles, alongside Diljit Dosanjh, left an indelible mark on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Talking about his work Charles says,“Last year was particularly special because I had the opportunity to perform at the iconic Coachella music festival with Diljit Dosanjh. This year, I'm thrilled to be part of his Dil-Luminati world tour. We've just completed the USA and Canada, and now we move on to Europe, the UK, UAE, and India next. After touring with Diljit, I'll also be hitting the road with Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi, Adnan Sami, and a few other amazing singers later this year.
