Hello, I'm the admin on Vietnamese Wikiquote. User Farewell has many positive contributions to Wikiquote during that time, and he should have sysop rights to manage the work better. Note: This is a Wikiquote project is very small, and the vote could only be a 3 (see RecentChange). Would the steward agreed, thanks minhhuy*= 01:46, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Done A completely unrelated note, but Farewell may want to either finish unification or request username usurpation on some of the other projects. German, French, Chinese and Italian Wikipedias all have a user with that name with zero edits (so he should be able to get it easily). There's a Japanese account, but it has 50 edits, so unless he can log into it already, it may be harder. This doesn't affect his getting adminship at all, of course, but might reduce confusion for him in the future. Kylu 02:04, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

I have been fixing the translations of this wikipedia with the privileges that I was given through MediaWiki pages (some of which were deleted). We really can't offer "deals" like, "if you get X votes in Y days, you can be an admin". We can, however, point you towards the election guidelines as they currently stand. You are, of course, free to contribute to the opinions presented on the page. Also, we do have a set of global sysops who may assist that project with administrative abilities if you'd like some support maintaining the project while awaiting the outcome of your election (or beyond). Postponed at the least, but so far there seems to need to be about five folks to be enough for selecting a non-temporary admin. If you'd like to help assist clarify the debate, the discussion (with the minimal amount of attention it gets) is at Requests for comment/Minimum voting requirements. I don't understand what User:Betalph actually want. He had requested here days ago adminship ([2]) without any request on local project. With my advises he backed down it and begun to contribute something on ko Books. I didn't want to interrupt him because of good mind principle, though he produced massive trash and copied and pasted free contents. I called his attention to solid editing and said that page account is not really important while editing don't go with quality. He ignored. Someday he (and his probably sock, immediately created account) argued that who contributes must be admin and accused that I am a dictator because I didn't accept anyone and any opinions. As I've begun to consolidate all pages he edited, he said I ought to be impeached. I explained repeatedly why that must be done sooner or later. He has propagated false claim not only on wiki projects, but also on several outdoor sites including slander against me. ([3], [4]) Besides, I'm afraid of more bad propaganda on twitter that he himself created named @wikibook.

To his & his sock status(SUL account Betalph, SUL account Unypoly): infinite blocked on ko WP because of extreme sock puppetry and cunning harassment, former also on ko Wikt, where I'm admin. He just has been blocked also on ko Wikt.

To User:Betalph: All what I can say you is that you should radically change your attitude in order to take part in a wiki project: Harassment and slander are poison. And adminship is not the only purpose for contributing. --아흔(A-heun) 18:06, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm not bureaucrat any longer, but I can confirm that the mandate of these two admins has expired. The one-year policy. The nomination-page for Suz and for Åsa L. You can also see the talk-page of these users. None of them has been asked to stay as admins.

I'm pretty sure you don't want them to make use of their administrator privileges after their expiration of their admin tools. If they do, then I think it is really necessary to remove their admin privileges. If these users were nominated again, they would most likely be re-elected. Because of that, I see no reason to hurry.

It's not unusual that blocked users come here to desysop their foe or tries to make themself admins. The Stewards know nothing about Your relation to Suz and Åsa L or the sv.wiki-project in general. (And neither do I.) -- Lavallen 06:01, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

I am an Igbo speaker who only wanted to translate the navigation box, only to find that special privileges are needed. I do not think there is any valid moderator left on this wiki, and by valid I mean still an active moderator, there are hardly any users, except for bots and people who last visited/edited in 2007. There really wasn't a need for a request for adminship on the wiki, because nobody is there, the last person who applied didn't get any reply. The wiki is dyeing and the main interfaces are a mix of English and Igbo which makes the whole wiki pointless. I think I could make a bit of a change. Ukabia 21:16, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Ah, honestly, you've got all of one support on the local request, so if I may, I'd probably suggest requesting temporary access, instead and starting a local poll to remove admins who haven't touched the place in three years. This user started installing templates and other bits&pieces on the Chechen Wiki. He complained that community is mostly inacitve (see village pump), he also says there are lots of grammar errors in the messages and templates. He has already contacted current administrators [7] but he didn't receive any reply so far (tried email as well). He wanted for ask for a sysop right to edit MediaWiki namespace.
