Once we don't have local crats at this moment, grant admin flag to this user per clear community consensus obtained in a RfA.

Note: don't forget to remove his eliminator flag, due to redundancy. To do so, stewards need to assign themselves temporary bureaucrat right on ptwiki.

Salamat@ptwiki

Don't have bureaucrats local. Please grant sysop status by consensus in this discussion. Salamat disc 05:18, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I see you have 28 votes for and 11 against. Does ptwiki have rules regarding admin appointment? Shanel 05:44, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes we have, a candidate needs at least 75% of votes to receive the flag. He don't have that (he have 70%), so I ask you to close the discussion (the bureaucrats used to do that, but since we don't have crats anymore...) Béria Lima msg 07:58, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
No, we don't have such rules, Shanel. Those 75% was never decided, and even proposed, in the project. All we have is here. Examples: 55%, 69%, 71%, 74,6%. Salamat has 72%. CasteloBrancomsg 08:27, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Sales and Reynaldo here elected in 2006, João Felipe in 2007, and in FilRB case (of 2009), by math, 74,6 ≈ 75%. Béria Lima msg 09:41, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Béria, could you please show the page where we can see that rule?” TeleS (T PT @ C G) 09:46, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Please close the discussion as either successful or not successful locally before coming here. Until then, the request is Not done Laaknor 09:49, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Peter Alberti@dawikisource

I am requesting permanent administrator access on Danish wikisource, after my previous, temporary one expired. I should probably note that while there is a local bureaucrat, da:s:Bruger:Christian S, he hasn't edited since 2007 and hasn't responded to requests for crat actions from back to 2008. Peter Alberti 16:25, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Do you know where the requests to that crat are? With that only bureaucrat being inactive for years, perhaps you would like to locally propose removing the bureaucrat flag, then tell us the local discussion.Jusjih 03:31, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
The requests to Christian S are on his talk page (da:s:Brugerdiskussion:Christian S#Bot flag request for Bruger:Computer and everything below). With regards to proposing removing his bureaucrat flag, I would prefer not to. It wouldn't help further the project in itself, and there are so few users that have contributed a substantial amount of content that I'd rather not do anything to make him feel unwelcome back, if he does turn up again. Peter Alberti 09:09, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Done The request on dawikisource passed all suggestions allowing permanent sysops to small wikis in the discussions here: at least one week, at least 5 supports, at least 75/80%. The local crat has been out of circulation for over three years now (last edit 7 May 2007), so I have gone ahead and implemented the dawikisource consensus to grant you sysop rights there. -- Avi 15:44, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Mayur @ sa.wikipedia.org

Hi i am a bureacrat on hindi wikipedia and also working with sanskrit wikipedia. But it is very difiicult to contribute there without transliteration tool and some other gadgets.I have already done it for hi wikipedia, but donot have sysop access on sa wikipedia.I requested there about one month ago but here are no active users, admins(not active for last 135 days) and bureaucrat(not active for last 70 days). So i am requesting here.Thank you--Mayur(TalkEmail)  04:29, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Comment Comment Mayur, as I heard, Shiju and Junaid are working on the translit tools for sa wiki. I would rather wait for that than duplicating the work. --Jyothis 21:24, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Comment Comment Ok, i am taking back my proposal, i was appllied for it one month back when this wiki got vector format. and how do you think i will make duplicate work, i have made transliteration tool for sanskrit seperately one month ago.there is very less difference between hindi devnagri and sanskrit devnagri script. But i also think that junaid work will be up to the mark so i have no interest left for adminship of sa wiki. However i didnot applied for installation of tool only, i wanted to work with that wiki and improve it quality but as far as i observe now its malyalam wikipedian who have taken the whole responsibility for indian languagges growth, So it will be better for me to work with my home project or if they want to reinstall transliteration tool in hi wiki i can left my crat and admin flag there.Thank you very much for your humble response--Mayur(TalkEmail)

Inactivity, last edit on 19 Sept 2009 i.e. nearly 1 and a quarter of a year (15 months). In the months and years before the contributions are marginal as well. On the most Czech projects there is automatic desysop after 6 months of inactivity. On the Czech Wikisource ("Wikizdroje") there is a similar rule to be discussed (see here). This desysop has been shortly discussed here. The user Egg anounced several times his withdrawal from his activities in the WM projects like Czech Wikipedia etc., see e.g. his user page here, he also made a withdrawal from his positions in the Czech Chapter of the WMF (see here). I'd like my bureacrat and sysop status on the Dutch Wikibooks removed. The link where my message to the community is presented can be found here: click. I don't leave Wikibooks and if I'll become more active and feel the need for sysoprights again, I'll try to get them in the normal way, but for now I don't need them. Fantastic, how bureaucracy works well... Exactly on the very day i performed my last administrative action, i'm informed that a request is "pending" for my dismissal for administrative inactivity, and when i come to see - and comment, as requested - my dismissal proposal, the removal was already done! That is efficiency… Funny thing is, this happens just a week or so that i stated publicly that the stewards are inneficient - actually, incompetent - because they could not decide what to do with a sysop that was accused, by the same stewards (or by one of them) to abuse his statute as checkuser, excatly the same sysop that now proposes my removal, for administrative inactivity… It is sad to see the Wikipedia project transformed in a bureaucratic "project"! Of course i am not going to argue on why i didn't "perform my administrative duties" - i did them when i deemed they were necessary. I know i can renew my status, by proposing, or having another user propose me, as sysop. But i don't know if i want to be part of this "administrative machine", that blindly uses "local policy" to dismiss a sysop. Kindly regards. --Rui Silva 18:50, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

(Not sure if this is the right procedure/place to post it. Currently temp-admin.)
I was given temporary adminship with the advice to start a discussion/public request before it expires on Dec 15. I did so, and after my initial "trial-period," I now have the support of the two most active contributors (see link -- basically "our community"; I hope it will grow somewhat over time). Thank you so much/Ahehee' nitsxaago Seb az86556 22:08, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

We like to see a few more comments before making adminship permanent but you have the support of the other active admin there so I think this seems reasonable. What do my fellow stewards think? In any case we certainly could extend your temporary again. ++Lar: t/c 23:21, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
uhm, I'd extend his temp flag, 2 supports are not enough ... not even in a small community--Nick1915 - all you want 17:02, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I'd also say extend the temp flag, until the community is a bit more robust. — Dan | talk 20:52, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, I suppose. It's a "chicken or egg"-question. It has me wondering how Node_ue gets to retain permanent status for 4 years without any support or any community at that time. Effectively, the only permanent admin is inactive, and anyone who is willing to become active and do something will be told... Anyways --- How many people would it take? Seb az86556 03:49, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Hold a local vote to remove adminship from said person, who was apparently added during a period of looser standards. Kylu 03:55, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for that answer. The second part was about the number of votes; it would be nice for all of us if somebody could tell me something for future reference along the lines of "Don't bother showing up again before you have 100 votes" or something like that. I could not find the corresponding rule anywhere; maybe I was simply looking in the wrong places. Again, thank you. Seb az86556 16:56, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
You raise valid concerns. I'm not sure we do have a hard and fast rule (although it's certainly way less than 100 votes!), it's more common sense (although I could be wrong). 2 votes is very much on the low side of the line, although I tended to think that in this particular case it might be sufficient given that you had already shown your mettle, and you had the support of the other active admin. But I wasn't sure, which is why I asked my fellow stewards for their views instead of just saying yes. Since they are saying probably not, I tend to agree. As for a line... typically if we see 4 or 5 votes from regular contributors that's usually enough. There is a lot of difference between a community of 2 and a community of 5... 5 is trending towards a self sufficient community, while 2 is one person away from a one man show, which we know isn't sustainable. The line for 'crat is significantly higher than admin of course. In any case we are prepared to renew your temp without any question. I hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 11:05, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
OK. I doubt we'll ever need a crat or anything beyond that. Thank you for the temp-flag, and I guess I'll be back again in a few months... :)
(PS: you should probably put some sort of explanation like you just gave me on the top of this page... all current request are below 5 votes as far as I can tell... saves time and energy for everybody...) Seb az86556 23:10, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Good point. Also, it appears we didn't set a specific expiration, I'm thinking another 6 months, set to expire June 15 2010. ++Lar: t/c 19:58, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Hopefully to be done before Wikimania (July) but maybe we would like to archive some stuff later. Whole conference should be wrapped up financially etc. by the end of Q1 2011 (by the time the financial and tax reports of the org committee are due). So, realistically, no more than end-of-year 2010 (but should be way shorter). This is not a one-time migration.  « Saper // @talk »  20:38, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Initiated: ru-wiktionary & ru-wikisource. There may be some delay in discussion (some days) because of small activity in projects. Infovarius 19:58, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
There's support in wiktionary, and I don't need in wikisource any more. So it may be summed up. Infovarius 16:29, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Done Granted for a period of one month. Please react if this is too short (or too long). - Andre Engels 19:49, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Roberto de Lyra@ptwikipedia

Please grant the status of "eliminador" to user Roberto de Lyra per community consensus. Obs.: we don't have local crats at this moment. Thank you, Lechatjaune 23:36, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

User:M7

Prior to SUL deployment, an impostor tried to register my own username on several wikies. At present, as seen on toolserver, my account is still blocked on

I ask for this blocks to be removed, since they are no longer necessary, as my global account has been unified and local wikies attached long time ago. Thank you, M/ 00:04, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
