Because of a mistake my administrator rights are closed now. it is wrongly mentioned as 4th August here ? Please can you put again my temporary adminship. Please remove the sysop bit and assign all rights I had before becoming administrator. It puzzles out that Wikimedia Foundation has intentionally installed a super-mistrust-the-community protection level and I am no longer inclined to carry out administrative activities during my spare time, including maintenance and replacing deprecated functionality. Either the scripts will break over time or they are removed. In the past, the Wikimedia Foundation software department has imposed new edit restrictions on adminstrators, so that we are no longer able to edit all pages (glamwiki namespace), we are no longer able to script Special:Preferences (the security claim is invalid). And at this Wikimania, I experienced that WMF has turned into a commercial enterprise with employees without own opinion (there are exceptions and I am glad I met them) or motivation to seriously test the tools they advertise their own; some even have never contributed an edit to any Wikimedia project. This felt unnatural. -- I believe contributors should help interested parties getting started with new projects, teach them how to use Wikimedia Projects, and not paid professionals.

I came to Commons and became administrator because it gave me great freedom, trust and confidence. I now decide not to tolerate the drop in freedom, trust and confidence; doing the tedious work only and leaving all other decisions to paid WMF agents.

Finally I disagree with Foundation's criticism of the right to be forgotten. This position doesn't fit into my European Culture. Rillke (talk) 22:11, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

PS, disabling scripting on Special:Preferences is a legit security claim since a user's email is displayed on the page, and was done back in 2007 (rev:22008) by a volunteer, nonetheless.

On 5 April 2014, user FeodorBezuhov announced his retirement from wikipedia clearing his userpage and writing "M-am retras" (en: I retired.) In the same day he also deleted a lot of his user sub-pages, for each specifying in edit summary: "M-am retras" (en: I retired.) Also, you can analyze history og his contributions. Excludin actions on own userpages, his latest edit was on --article "George Scutaru" on 7 Nov 2013. Previous edit was on 28 August 2013. Those was only 2 edits in 2013!!

In 2012 he has 19 actions: 1 in November, 8 in October, 1 in June, 5 in May, 2 in February and 2 in March. Then, his latest stable edits comes from 2011.

His last edit in Wikipedia namespace was on 25 May 2012. Previous - on 17 April 2011.

So, we can consider he is no longer active since 2011 or 2012. In 2-3 years rowiki policy underwent substantial changes and is supposed he is not aware of this. And finally, as i presented at the begginning - in 2014 he himself said he withdrew.

Technically, FeodorBezuhov didn't ask formally for the termination of his adminship. Second, his last edit was less than 1 year ago, so his admin rights shouldn't be revoked for inactivity. Thirdly, he wasn't dismissed by the community for any other reason. And those three things are the only reasons for removing admin rights on ro.wp. As such, I recommend keeping the status quo until one of those things happen. — AdiJapan 03:21, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

I've actually met him by chance a few months back, and he said he has very little time for Wikipedia right now and he only edits once in a while. That said, ro.wp has a local procedure for removing sysop rights. It may be so that he is not up-to-date with the policies, but this should be decided by the local community. There would need to be a local vote with a local community supporting his candidacy - I tend to look for at least 8 supporting votes from people who are actually active on the project, and that standard is much lower than some. Sorry for being so persistent/annoying but I would like to save Janezdrilc trouble of requesting administration access over and over again. I know this is not a painful thing but it's a rare occasion that someone is prepared to contribute to and monitor this project. No problem. I'd like him to need to re-seek community input at least once more, but after the next vote in 3 months when his temporary access expires I'd be willing to look at permanent access (or significantly longer than what he currently has). Best practices for stewards have changed somewhat since you were made an admin there - we generally tend to favour temporary over permanent adminship unless there is a large local community.
