Gifts of Stock & Other Securities
The Springfield Art Museum welcomes gifts of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. There may be tax advantages to giving appreciated securities. Ask your financial advisor then contact the Museum for more information.

Planned Giving
Including the Springfield Art Museum in your estate plans through a bequest is a simple but powerful way to leave a legacy of great art for future generations. There are also a number of tax advantages to gifts made through wills and trusts. For more information contact the Museum.

Volunteer

You don’t have to be an artist to enjoy art, and you don’t have to be an art expert to get involved with the Springfield Art Museum. There are a number of ways to give your time, like joining our Docent Corp. Museum docents are ambassadors for the museum and lead interactive tours to children and adults. Docents volunteer on a weekly basis, or as needed according to the tour schedule.

To familiarize volunteers with the museum, docents must complete a formal training program and make a 1-year commitment to the tour program. Additional requirements are as follows:

  • Must be able to speak in front of groups
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be enthusiastic about learning
  • Must be passionate about the Springfield Art Museum
  • Must have a desire to enrich your community

If this sounds like you, then consider becoming a Springfield Art Museum Docent. Fill out the docent application, or call the museum at 417-837-5700 for more information.
