Alves Barbosa

Alves Barbosa (24 December 1931 – 29 September 2018) was a Portuguese professional road cyclist. He won the Volta a Portugal in 1951, 1956 and 1958, placing third in 1955, and rode the Tour de France from 1956 until 1958 and again in 1960.[1] He was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.[2]

Barbosa died on 29 September 2018 in Figueira da Foz at the age of 86.[3][4]
