Colin Friels (born 25 September 1952) is a Scottish-born Australian actor. He is best known for his role in the television series Water Rats which earned him a Logie Award. He also appeared in the movies Malcolm (1986), Dark City (1998) and Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010).

Friels was born in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland. He moved to Australia in 1963, first living in Darwin, Northern Territory before moving to Melbourne, Victoria. He is married to actress Judy Davis. They have two children, son Jack and daughter Charlotte.

Friels is a pancreatic cancer survivor.[1]
