Zenith Electronics

Zenith Electronics is an American research and development company. It develops Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) standards and digital rights management technologies. The company is owned by the South Korean company LG Electronics. Zenith was earlier an American brand of consumer electronics.[1] The company was headquartered in Glenview, Illinois. After a series of layoffs, the headquarters moved to Lincolnshire, Illinois (north of Chicago).

Zenith-branded products were sold in North America, Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma), India, Germany, Cambodia and Thailand (until 1983). Zenith made televisions, radios and remote controls. Zenith Electronics was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1918.
