Send a file, picture, or link in Microsoft Teams
When you're in a chat, you can send messages that include files, pictures, and links.
Send a link
To send a link, select Format
Add display text and the address, select Insert, or copy and paste the link into the message box, and then select Send
Note: Teams has its own ATP Safe Links security to verify that any link that you send or receive is safe to choose. As an added layer of protection, we'll let you know about a potentially unsafe link.
View links next to chats
When you open a webpage link from a Teams chat while logged into Microsoft Edge, the chat window opens in the Edge browser to view the content and chat side-by-side. This makes it easy to view links without needing to switch back and forth between apps.
To learn more, see Web links from Outlook emails and Teams chats open in Microsoft Edge.
