A collective portrait of five master cartoonists from Geneva, who by virtue of appearing on the scene at the same time in the same city have become known as the “nouvelle bande dessinée genevoise": Frederik Peeters, Pierre Wazem, Tom Tirabosco, Ibn Al Rabin and Baladi. From their first fanzines to the first hardback albums, from the Prix Töpfer to those of the Angoulème Cartoon Festival, from newspaper illustrations to political posters and from autobiographical themes to collaborative efforts, the film follows the paths of five creative young people who have managed to develop a childhood passion into a professional career.
