Inside Out 2 Movie Review : A dazzling kaleidoscope of emotions

Day of Emotional Rollercoaster<br/>Human behavior often feels like a mystery. It's challenging to understand why we act a certain way. All that talk about self-discovery and awareness seems to go out the window when we&rsquo;re triggered in the wrong direction. Despite numerous books, workshops, TED talks, and personal experiences, understanding emotions can still feel elusive. Albert Einstein famously said, &ldquo;If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it yourself.&rdquo; Pixar's 2015 film &quot;Inside Out&quot; beautifully embodied this idea, explaining the workings of the mind from a child's perspective. Watching this film made me aware of how our emotions drive us. In the movie, Joy controls Riley, while Sadness and Anger drive her mom and dad.<br/>When the second part was announced, I booked my tickets immediately. The trailers hinted that Riley was growing and developing new and complex emotions. Larger emotions deserved a larger screen, so I switched my tickets to an IMAX showing. In an era dominated by jaw-dropping VFX and blockbuster stars, &quot;Inside Out 2&quot; managed to captivate us with a well-written story.<br/>No one can explain anxiety, panic attacks, bottling up emotions, embarrassment, and the role of Joy better than this film. Today was my second viewing, and the music once again transported me into Riley's emotional world. I rarely pay attention to film scores, but the music in &quot;Inside Out&quot; pushed me to investigate the people behind this transcendence. Michael Giacchino's &quot;Bundle of Joy&quot; from the first film is one of my all-time favorite piano scores. In the sequel, emotions were conveyed powerfully through music alone. Andrea Datzman, with her work on films like Star Trek, Zootopia, and Spider-Man: Homecoming, is the first female composer for a Pixar film. Kudos to Pixar for choosing the right person for the job. I wish there were an instrumental version of the soundtrack so I could close my eyes and let the music guide me through the story.<br/>The scenes in the movie invite you to delve deeper into your own emotions and emerge with a better understanding of yourself. During my first viewing, I shed a few tears. Watching it a second time helped me realize those tears were from repressed emotions. The moment when anxiety apologizes to Joy, admitting it was just trying to help Riley, was a tipping point for my bottled-up feelings. Overall, the story, intricate details, and music stole my heart!<br/>I&rsquo;m eagerly waiting for Riley to grow up and reach college. Honestly, this world-building could continue forever, and I would be thrilled to follow it.

While it may not reach the groundbreaking heights of the original, it still delivers a heartwarming and entertaining experience.<br/>The film introduces new emotions, each with their own unique personalities and quirks, adding fresh layers to Riley's inner world. It's a must-watch for fans of the first film and anyone who appreciates a good animated adventure.
