Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD is now the third highest-grossing Indian film in North America, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and SS Rajamouli’s Jr. NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR. The film's total collection in North America has exceeded $16 million, trailing only Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

There seems to be no stopping for Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, The film in India, has already crossed Rs 500 mark in just 11 days, and shows no intentions of slowing down. The film is setting records in North America ( USA and Canada) circuit as well, which has now become the biggest circuit for Telugu films, given that Telugu has now become the 11th most spoken language in the country with over 1 million native speakers.

Kalki 2898 AD entered the list of top 10 Indian films in North America in the first week itself, and now, it has become the third highest Indian grosser only behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan ( US $ 17.45 million), and SS Rajamouli’s Prabhas and Rana Dagubbati starrer Baahubali 2- The Conclusion ( US $ 22 Million).
Before the weekend, Kalki 2898 AD was standing on sixth position beating the likes of Aamir Khan’s Dangal ( US $ 12.39 million) and Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat ( US $ 12.17) and was trailing films like Jawan ( US $ 15.23 million) , RRR (US $ 15.15 Million) and Animal ( US $ 15 million) .
Kalki 2898 AD grabbed the 3rd spot on its 10th day, where by the end of the day, the total collection of the film reached US $ 15,546,885. And on 11th day till early evening, the film has added another $431,000 to its kitty, and by late evening the numbers are set, taking the film to over US $ 16 million count.

It would be interesting to see when the film is able to cross Pathaan’s numbers. Pathaan was Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film after a gap of 4 years, he reinvented himself as an action hero with this one, and the audiences lapped loved him across the globe.
