Carol Connors, the Oscar-nominated singer and songwriter, has revealed surprising details about her
relationship with Elvis Presley. Connors, who has written a memoir titled "Elvis, Rocky & Me," shared these revelations in an interview with Fox News.
In her memoir, Connors, now 83, discusses her career and personal life, including her time with the ‘King of Rock and Roll.’ She co-wrote the theme song for the movie ‘Rocky’ and had a close relationship with Presley, which lasted for nine months.
Connors explained that she gave Presley her phone number, and he called her a few days later. Their meeting happened after Presley had finished filming ‘Viva Las Vegas’ with Ann-Margret, who Connors claims was one of Presley's great loves.
Connors reflected on her relationship with Presley, expressing regret that she did not have a child with him, calling herself ‘stupid’ for missing that opportunity. She shared that Presley admired her voice and was her first boyfriend. Despite their close relationship, Presley went on to marry Priscilla Presley and passed away in 1977 at the age of 42.
In addition to her personal anecdotes, Connors' memoir touches on many unknown facts about her career and her time with Presley.
Recently, Tennessee's attorney general has asked the federal government to investigate an attempted auction of Elvis Presley's Graceland estate. Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti announced that his office was investigating potential fraud related to the sale. According to a public notice, Naussany Investments claimed that Presley's late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, had used Graceland as collateral for a $3.8 million loan that was never repaid. Lisa Marie Presley passed away last year at the age of 54. After a judge blocked the sale, Naussany Investments stated it would withdraw all claims over Graceland.
Graceland, where Elvis Presley is buried, remains a popular tourist destination, attracting over 600,000 visitors annually. Connors' revelations add a new layer of intrigue to the enduring legacy of Elvis Presley.
