Ahead of its release, Kalki 2898 AD generated significant buzz with a grand event attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. Kamal Haasan discussed his unique look, noting efforts to innovate, and mentioned traveling to Los Angeles for perfection. Bachchan praised the film as groundbreaking and ahead of its time.

Nag Ashwin's upcoming futuristic film, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has created quite a buzz ahead of its big release. The makers organised a grand event today on June 19 which was attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
When Kamal Haasan was asked about his distinctive appearance in the movie, he explained his desire to avoid repeating past looks.
He shared the story of how he tried coming up with something of his own but later realised that Big B has already got it in his look. He also suggested wearing an armour but Prabhas already got that one. The senior actor also joked that he didn't want to be pregnant in the film or he would have tried Deepika Padukone's look as well.

Elaborating further, Haasan mentioned that the team traveled to Los Angeles multiple times to perfect his look for Kalki 2898 AD. He expressed hope that the audience would respond positively to his new appearance.

Meanwhile, Mr Bachchan praised his experience working on Kalki 2898 AD, describing it as a great honor and a wonderful opportunity to be part of a project that surpasses what they have previously done in their careers. He noted that the film is ahead of its time and expressed his curiosity about Nag Ashwin’s vision for the film.
