What’s in store for Bhediya- Stree- Munjya Universe ? - Exclusive

The comedy-horror universe of Stree-Bhediya-Munjya is expanding. Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao releases on Independence Day, followed by Vampires of Vijay Nagar with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. A sequel to Munjya is also planned, and there's a crossover film featuring Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya and Munjya in the works.

Post the success of Marvel Cinematic Universe, creating interconnected storylines has become the next big thing in Indian Cinema. Today we have Aditya Chopra’s Spy Universe, Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, then there is Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Universe with Vikram-Kaithi- Leo and Dinesh Vijan’s comedy-horror universe with Stree- Bhediya-Munjya.

We at ETimes have some exciting updates about the horror comedy universe. While Stree 2 is getting ready to release on the Independence Day weekend, there are some exciting plans lined up ahead for this universe.
Our sources reveal that director Amar Kaushik will direct another film in the Stree universe to completely tie the story. Soon after, post the success of Munjya, Aditya Sarpotdar will introduce Vampires to the universe with

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Vampires of Vijay Nagar.
Our sources now reveal that the maker plans to take the film on floors this year, and is targeting to release it next year. Post that, Aditya would work on the sequel to Munjya, taking the story and the original characters ahead from the original film. He is currently busy with another comedy horror film Kakuda with Riteish Deshmukh and Sonakshi Sinha.
In fact, our source has also revealed that the team of writer-producer and director are working on another story that would bring Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya with Munjya together as seen in the post credit scene of Munjya.
The comedy horror universe has names like Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Mona Singh, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee attached to it.
