Tips to keep your makeup intact on Eid
Eid is almost here! Are you ready to have fun and hog all the delicious treats? Well, you must be busy doing your skin and hair care routine, but what about your makeup? Have you ever thought about what you will do when your makeup starts to melt? Do you have a Plan B? The scorching heat of the sun, humidity and all the hustle of festivities can make it challenging to keep your makeup intact.
That’s why we are here to give you some tips on how to ensure that your makeup stays flawless on Eid.
Prime Your Skin
After cleansing and moisturizing your skin, make sure that you apply primer. If you want your makeup to last long, primer is the key.
Choose a mattifying primer to control oil and create a smooth base. Apply it evenly across your face, focusing on areas that tend to get oily, like the T-zone.

Choose Matte Foundation
Matt foundation will give a natural finish as well as buildable coverage. Consider using a lightweight foundation. Apply it with a damp beauty blender. If you are applying a concealer, then go for long-lasting concealer to cover dark spots and any other imperfections.
Set With Powder
Ensure to set your makeup so that it helps lock in foundation and concealer. Target your T-zone and apply the powder with the help of a large and fluffy brush. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then remove the excess powder.

Waterproof Mascara
Opt for waterproof mascara and eyeliner to avoid smudging. Choose a mascara that provides length and volume while preventing smudging and flaking, keeping your look intact. Avoid mascara with harsh chemicals because it can irritate the eyes. Go for nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and natural oils. Before applying the mascara, your lashes should be clean and free from any residual makeup or oil. Don’t forget to apply mascara to the lower lashes!

Don’t Forget BBH
BBH is bronzer, blush and highlighter. Bronzer adds warmth to your face and helps to contour it. Opt for two shades darker than your natural skin tone, which will give you a more natural look. Apply blush to add a youthful glow. Choose a blush that will compliment your skin. Highlighter adds radiance, so choose a shade close to your skin tone with a light shimmer. Make sure all the products are blended well.

Finish the Look
Setting spray is a game changer if you are looking for a long-lasting makeup look. It keeps your makeup intact throughout the day and controls excess oil. They usually contain hydrating ingredients which is why your skin looks dewy and fresh. Before spraying it on to your face, shake the bottle so that the ingredients are mixed well and allow it to dry naturally.
Things to remember to keep your makeup intact
Never use too many products in one go. Always wait for 20-30 seconds for the next product. This will ensure that all the products get time to absorb into the skin.
To prevent your makeup to look cakey, avoid applying too much of a setting powder.
You should always carry a touch up kit with you if you have oily skin. While doing touch-ups always dab a sponge onto the skin.
You should always carry blotting paper to remove excess oil. Do not rub it, gently press it onto your skin, especially the T-zone.
