State Bank of India customers, here's a 'cricket warning' for you from the bank
SBI, State Bank of India has issued a warning against fraudulent messages being sent to its customers. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the bank said that fraudsters are sending fake SMS to update KYC, redeem rewards points etc.
“Fraudsters will bowl you with fake SMS to update KYC, redeem rewards points etc. Don't get bowled out. Stay alert and stay safe,” reads the post.
Along with this, the bank has also shared some tips which will help the users to stay protected and finally win the match.

Points to help you win and stay protected:
- SBI sends SMS only from short codes starting with SBI or SB and not use regular numbers or any other short codes like SGCLSC or SGMRBY.
- URLs for SBI banking websites always end with “.sbi” (e.g., http://bank.sbi, http//onlinesbi.sbi). Always ensure the presence of HTTPS or a padlock symbol before accessing banking applications.
- Immediately report fraud to the Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930 or file a complaint on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal at https//cybercime.gov.in/.

- If you receive any suspicious SMS claiming to be from SBI, report it promptly to the bank’s customer service helpline or at your nearest SBI branch.

Along with this, SBI has also shared a link of the official website, where users can go and check the rewards they have earned. “We request you to please visit this link https://rewardz.sbi/content/contact to know the contact details of the Grievance Redressal Team of SBI Rewardz and contact them to raise your query / complaint,” said SBI in another post.
