Even though it was his first visit to Lucknow, Zindagi Ki Mehek fame actor Karan Vohra, says he knows enough about the city from his director Saurabh Tiwari, who hails from here. “Lucknow for me, apart from Saurabh, is about the nawabs, kebabs and chikankari. I have heard so many stories about this city from my friend and the director of my previous shows, Saurabh, who is a Lucknowite, and ever since then I wanted to visit Lucknow."

The model-turned-actor, who is presently seen in the show Main Hoon Sath Tere, reflecting on his acting journey in the industry, says, “I started with modeling in 2008-09, where I was one of the runners up for a model hunt contest.
Having no background in acting, I was in a happy place enjoying my construction business and modelling, simultaneously. In 2016, Saurabh sir was making a show in Delhi for which he required a Delhi boy. A common friend suggested my name to him, and I got a call from him and the rest is history."
Karan says he is choosy about the projects he does on TV for a reason. "Mainly, television is a women-centric medium with not much focus on male actors. The makers don't care much about the male actors and for them, the guy should look good in the frame. This is the perception. Because of this, I have only done a few shows on TV," he says.
Father to twin boys, Karan shares, “My twin boys will be a year old now. I believe more than fatherhood, marriage brings a lot of changes in a man. I still remember I was shooting for my show Imlie and it was after the second checkup, that we got to know that we would be having twins. My wife, Bella, and I bought all the girly stuff as we were expecting baby girls. To our surprise, the twins turned out to be boys. I was like, arey yaar, two boys in my life. They are extremely naughty, but that's how kids are. (laughs)."

Playing a father in the show Main Hoon Sath Tere, Karan says he is loving the whole experience of being a father on and off screen. "I am learning fatherhood also on the job," says Karan, adding, "The two reasons connected me to this show is the name of the kid Arya, which is also a part of my elder son's name - Aryaveer. Secondly, Arya in the serial doesn't get the love of his father. I also lost my father at an early age and I could relate to his void of not having a father."
