Many will see scattered showers, with localised heavy rain and thunderstorms possible in the northern part of the UK on Thursday and Friday, and Midlands and southeast over the weekend, which could impact aviation and transport. Stronger winds on Thursday, especially in the north, could also impact the sector.

Wednesday likely to be the warmest day of the week with mid-to-high 20°Cs widely expected and parts of the southeast potentially reaching 31°C. Across the north/ northeast it is likely to be cloudier with some light drizzle but this is unlikely to result in any impacts, some isolated heavy showers are possible across some western areas on Wednesday afternoon which could result in localised impacts for aviation. A change to weather conditions is expected from Thursday, with a cold front bringing a band of cloud and showery rain running east/southeast across the country. • A colder week ahead, with a band of rain moving southeast across the UK and heavy rain possible in the northwest, which could cause disruption for aviation.   From Wednesday into Thursday, fairly frequent heavy and thundery showers are possible in parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England.   Things look warmer from Friday although some showery outbreaks are possible, as weather appears drier in the south but staying unsettled in the north   Find out more in the Week Ahead forecast 👇

  • After showery conditions across the country this Thursday and continuing clouds and outbreaks of rain in the Southeast on Friday, it will be turning more settled and mostly fine towards the end of the week and into next week for most. Largely fine weather into the weekend should see limited impacts on industry.   However, some thicker clouds and outbreaks of rain with blustery winds at time will be moving in at the beginning of next week for Northwestern parts of the UK and into Northern Ireland, possibly impacting on aviation.   Find out more in our 10 Day Trend 👇
