I object to the horrendous prices charged for blades by Guil**tte but have tried cheap razors and they've all been rubbish. Against my better judgement I bought these Amazon blades. The first shave was not good. They seemed to rip each hair out, rather than cut it smoothly. It was painful. However, I'm now a month on using the same first blade and each shave is smooth, painless and a pleasure. Not sure how the blade seems to improve with age. I'd expect the exact opposite, but that's what I'm experiencing, so I'm well happy. I've only tried the first blade so time will tell if the others are as good.

I like the Gillette Fusion 5 razors. I bought the starter kit, so it makes sense for my razors to fit. Price is also important and I thought this was a good deal. I believed them to be genuine, but they're really not. I found these to be very rough on my skin. I had cuts all over my skin and I didn't get a close shave without going over and over certain areas.
When the package was delivered it was placed on the doorstep, no one checked I was over 18. Upon opening the box, ALL of the razor blades were out of their plastic cases and jumbled all over the cardboard box. This meant I had to painstakingly place them all back into their cases and try not to snag my fingers on the blades. Will I buy them again? No. I'd rather spend a few more £s and have a shave that lasts a day or two longer and doesn't leave my skin sore.

Have used these replacement blades for a couple of months now. They're probably not quite as close-cutting as the originals, it probably takes a few seconds longer to get as smooth, but can't complain at all for the price.

Handy tip: One of my biggest gripes was that there is no trimmer blade on the reverse side and the blades are quite a bit bulky to shave closely under the nose and accurately square off sideburns. However, today I noticed that the orange top portion of the blade guard does hinge backwards - making it much easier to shave those hard to reach areas.
