We use this as a small kitchen bin and it's exactly what I was looking for. Very solid and it opens and closes smoothly.
The plastic inner bin fits the 10-12L bin bags we use perfectly, and even if it didn't there's a small hole at the back of the bin to tuck in any excess to create a tighter fit. The bin is also very easy to lift out thanks to the slight indents on either side.
The bin also doesn't get as dirty on the inside due to the lid being fairly hollow and curved, which helps keep waste from touching the lid as the bin fills up. And the back of the inside bin curves away from the hinge to keep waste from coming into contact with that as well.
A very good quality bin for the price.
