I have had a Solimo Six blade razor for around a year now, which is fantastic, however Amazon don't seem to stock refills any more so I thought I'd give the five blade with pivoting head a whirl.Prior to this I was a Gillette buyer for a long time with occasional dalliances to Wilkinson and supermarket own label.I shave my head every two to three days, a blade will usually last 2 or 3 shaves so effectively one blade per week.The Good -This is a nice looking razor, the blue and orange colour scheme of the cartridges may well have been borrowed from a competing brand but hey, its a cool stick to behold.The handle is very comfortable to hold, rubber in the right places and just enough weight to make it substantial enough without it feeling like a hammer in the hand.The pivoting head is very good, I really do like this feature a lot. My head is huge, like an orange on a toothpick, it's got lumps and bumps galore and having a razor that glides a little easier over this swollen moon like bonce is most helpful.The lubricating strips seem to last a little longer than the old Solimo blades I had, the strips were usually the first to go off well before the blade itself.The shave is comfortable and close, I don't find myself having to make extra passes so this helps reduce any irritation.My shave frequency has remained the same so again this is comparable to the six blade.A big test the other day, no shaving gel left. Do I go to work looking like Worzel Gummidge or try it with just hope and hot water???Two days later and no burn rash or razor spots. Whilst I wouldn't recommend not using a gel or foam regularly this was an excellent test for the razor and it passed it with flying colours!The could be better -The reason I have given four stars and not five is simply the securing of the cartridge to the handle can be a little fennicky. It's not a twenty minute job you need an instruction manual for, but it's not clunk click every time. Most of the time I end up trying a few times to pop the handle onto the cartridge.Not a massive issue, but I'd prefer something a little smoother.Overall have been a Solimo convert for a while now, I wondered if moving from 6 to 5 blades would cause a marginally less closer shave and am happy to say it does not.It's also a super comfortable razor.Recommended.Four Stars.

I bought these because I was fed up with 'Intimate body trimmers' that ended up in in knicks and uncomfortable situations/irritation/cuts. These five blades, with their lubricating strip, in conjunction with a gel shaving component was, quite frankly, amazing. Great value for money and well worth the money. I hate the fact that they are disposable, even though they are recycable. But does it do the the job? With minimal iritation and, lets be honest, cuts? No cuts! No irritation! Really really pleased with this purchase. The best male razor I have ever owned.

I’ve used cheap plastic disposable twin blade razors for years. I saw these and thought I’d give them a go. I wish I hadn’t bothered. Five blades means a big head. I can’t get an effective shave around my nose and wrinkles, and the whole thing is just so unwieldy. When the supplied cartridges are done, it’s in the bin.

Having recently tried the by Amazon 5 Blade Men’s Razor with 15 Refills, I must say it has been a fairly satisfactory experience. As someone who values a smooth and irritation-free shave, this razor has lived up to its promises for the most part. While it may not be perfect, it does offer some excellent features that make it a reliable option for daily grooming.

One of the standout features of this razor is the 5-blade system, which delivers a close and precise shave. The blades are sharp and effective, allowing me to achieve a smooth finish with minimal effort. The addition of the Accublade trimmer is a nice touch, making it convenient to tidy up tricky areas like the goatee, sideburns, and under the nose.

The lubricating strips containing vitamin E, cocoa butter, shea butter, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil do contribute to a comfortable shaving experience. They provide a smooth glide, reducing friction and irritation, especially when going over sensitive areas. My skin felt moisturized and nourished after each shave, which is a definite plus.

I appreciate the Dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin claim, as I do have slightly sensitive skin. This razor did not cause any major irritation or redness, which is always a relief. However, I did notice a slight tingling sensation after a couple of shaves, but it was not bothersome enough to hinder my overall satisfaction with the product.

The Motionsphere Multi Pivot Technology is an interesting addition that allows the razor to move effortlessly along the contours of my face. This feature ensures that I get an even shave without applying too much pressure. It’s a great design element that adds to the convenience and effectiveness of the razor.

The 16 cartridges included in the package provide excellent value for money. I found the blades to be long-lasting, allowing me to use each cartridge for a considerable amount of time before needing a replacement. While the blades are made in the USA from imported steel, I noticed that they started to lose their sharpness after about 10 shaves. The tip regarding changing the blade regularly is crucial, as I did experience some skin irritation when using a slightly dull blade. As for the “Packaging may vary” note, I found that the design of the packaging was functional but not particularly eye-catching. While this doesn’t impact the performance of the razor, a more attractive and visually appealing package could enhance the overall experience for consumers.

Esta es una opinión conjunta para los productos "Marca Amazon- Solimo Maquinilla de afeitar de cinco hojas para hombre con 6 recambios" y "Marca Amazon- Solimo Recambios de cuchillas de cinco hojas para maquinillas de afeitar para hombre (12 piezas) ".

Ambos los compré en marzo de 2.019, la maquinilla con recambios por 7,06 € y los recambios por 9,38 €.

En el afeitado he intentado varios formatos, afeitado clásico con maquinilla de una hoja en el que lo importante y lo que tienes que manejar es el ángulo de inclinación con respecto a la piel, que me salió bastante mal. Con los cartuchos, la cosa es más sencilla, si la maquinilla dispone de un ajuste de inclinación proporciona un contacto continuo, además la geometría de las chuchillas insertadas permite cortar el pelo hasta capas más profundas, creo que más hojas permiten dar menos pasadas, teniendo su límite en el contacto con las zonas curvas, si pones demasiadas en alguna zona los laterales no te protegen y llegas a cortarte. Los fabricantes recomiendan las cuchillas de menos hojas para la barba más larga, y más hojas para un apurado más intenso debiendo utilizarla con el pelo más corto.

Yo me afeito a diario, dos veces, una a favor de pelo y otra a contra pelo, siempre aplicando gel en cada pasada y comenzando con agua caliente y terminando con agua fría para cerrar los poros

Mi experiencia con la maquinilla de Amazon me indica que tanto la maquinilla como las cuchillas son de precisión, las primeras veces notaba como apuraban demasiado llegando a irritar, hay que pasar sin apretar, dejándola hacer su trabajo con pasadas suaves, hidratando y protegiendo la piel con gel o espuma, la hoja de repaso (los cartuchos tienen 5 hojas más una de repaso), para las zonas complicadas hay que utilizarla con cuidado, poniendo la maquinilla muy vertical y dando pasadas cortas.

La maquinilla en si tiene un buen agarre y un peso adecuados, además nada más verla se nota de calidad (sorprende en esta gama de precios). La presentación en caja de cartón cumple con el cometido de proteger el producto, el recipiente de plástico donde vienen los cartuchos es muy robusto, comparándola con las Premium del mercado quizás falta un punto de finura pero teniendo en cuenta el precio, tienes una maquinilla de primera calidad por un 1/3 de lo que cuestan los cartuchos mejores, teniendo una duración similar, aproximadamente dos semanas, unos 12 afeitados, le doy 5 estrellas por su relación calidad/precio.

Non faccio molte recensioni perché non ho tempo ma questi rasoi ne meritano una entusiasta. Le lame tagliano in modo preciso e in profondità ruotando in tutte le direzioni. I peli recisi non ristagnano in mezzo togliendone subito l'efficacia come per la maggior parte dei rasoi. Il manico è bello pesante e agevola di molto la rasatura. Alla fine per la prima volta posso avere la pelle a prova di bacio tutte le volte che voglio. Grazie
