I paid only £13 for 20 Amazon 3 blade razors. This is enough blades to keep me shaving for 2 years. It would have cost me over £29 to buy 20 Gillette Mach3 Razor Blades and the Amazon Triple blades are of the same quality standard as the Gillette Mach3.bye-bye Gillette.

I used to buy own brand 3 blade razers from Tesco and they were fine. However, Tesco then replaced them with clunky, awkward 5 blade razers which gave a very uncomfortable shave, caught on my skin and seemed to specialise in leaving me with cuts and abrasions over my top lip . I looked on line for the closest match to the 3 blade razers I had been so satisfied with and was pleased to find this product. Comparable in price to the Tesco versions, gives a great shave , is easy and accurate to use and has made shaving a painless pleasure once again.

I was sceptical, given the price - and the fact that I had inadvertently ordered the 3-blade instead of the 5-blade version. In transit, quite a few of the blades had fallen out of their clip housing, which made more even more sceptical. But the proof was in the shave. I have been shaving for over 40 years and I have to say that the experience was perfectly adequate. No nicks, smooth glide and a fairly close shave. Using the tried and tested "feel every follicle with your hands" that anyone shaving conducts directly after drying revealed that it there was still a tiny bit of discernible stubble on the surface, but, as I say - it was adequate, given the price and the fact it is only a 3-blade wet razor. The after affects were more noticeable - there was some irritation on my lower neck from the lubristrip and it may take a while for my skin to get use to that. Very happy with the results at such a reasonable price.

This razor with it's 20 blades seems like a real bargain doesn't it?
Well this purchase demonstrates amply that you get what you pay for.
I've previously used a Gillette sensor 3 razor and blades, but I was astounded at the high price Gillette charge for their replacement blades.
This made me seek out alternative razors.
The favourable reviews persuaded me to buy this razor and 20 blades.
The quality of the razor is OK, but the all important quality of the blades is very poor.
They are nowhere near is sharp as the blades I've been used to.
You have to go over areas many times to get a close shave.
Even then, you can feel the whiskers left, like you haven't really shaved very well!
The blades require much more pressure to get this not-so-close shave.
Obviously I can't return the kit, so I'll be binning it and I will go back to the Gillette brand.
I see now that there's a reason for the major brand prices.
I feel completely mislead by the favourable reviews, to the extent I question their motivations in writing such good reviews.
If you don't mind a poor shave, by all means buy this kit.
But I've learnt a lesson here.
For the price paid I could have bought fewer proper blades rather than this job lot of very poor quality blades which are only fit for the bin.
