The product does exactly what it's supposed to do, it's stable, the foam grips are comfortable and it's a bonus to be able to progress from double to single wheel.

But there's no way those foam grips were getting on the bar without lube. I tried without and it felt like the foam grips would rip immediately.

Another reviewer mentioned the instructions suggested wetting the bar with water before twisting on the grips. Firstly, my instructions didn't mention this. Secondly, you may get the grip on a wet bar but I don't think those grips are coming off in one piece when you come to convert from double wheel to single wheel.

Do yourself a favour and spray the ends of the bar lightly with WD40 before twisting on the foam grips for the first time. Then hopefully there will still be enough WD40 under the grips when you come to convert the wheels to avoid ripping the grips.

Have some kitchen roll standing and make sure you wipe up any WD40 residue after you've assembled, so the grips aren't left slippery.

With the WD40 spray, it installed in seconds and was completely safe to use after the residue was wiped away.

After having used the Amonax Convertible Ab Wheel Roller with the large knee mat for close to a year now, I must say that my experience with this product has been somewhat underwhelming. While it has some positive aspects, I find myself unable to give it more than a 2.5-star rating.

Let’s start with the positives. The inclusion of the large knee mat is a thoughtful addition. It provides sufficient cushioning and support during ab rollouts, ensuring that my knees are protected from discomfort or injury. The mat’s size is generous, allowing for freedom of movement during exercises.

However, the performance of the ab wheel roller itself leaves much to be desired. The double wheel set, which promises enhanced stability and control, falls short of my expectations. Despite using it consistently over the past year, I have struggled to feel confident and stable while using this device. The wheels tend to wobble, making it challenging to maintain a straight and controlled movement. This lack of stability not only affects the effectiveness of the exercise but also increases the risk of straining muscles or experiencing uneven pressure on the joints.

Furthermore, the dual fitness strength training modes advertised with this product have not proven to be as versatile or impactful as I had hoped. While it offers two different handle positions, I find that the adjustments are limited and fail to provide significant variations in the exercise routine. As a result, the workouts can become monotonous and fail to target different muscle groups effectively.

Durability is another concern. Despite regular and careful use, I have noticed signs of wear and tear on the ab wheel roller. The plastic parts show some cracking, and the overall construction feels less sturdy than when I first purchased it. Given that I have had this product for close to a year, I expected better durability and quality.

Lastly, I feel the need to mention the lack of proper instructions or exercise guidelines that come with the product. While some may argue that it’s a straightforward device to use, as someone who values proper form and technique, I would have appreciated more detailed guidance on how to maximize the benefits and avoid potential injuries.

Build quality is good. You can set it up with two wheels (more stability and better for novices) or a single wheel. Axle holds weight well with no flex. Little rubber mat for your knees to go on is great.
Just remember to keep your arms locked straight doing ab wheel rollouts to avoid hurting your elbows (the case with any ab roller).
