    I bought this Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush because it was on sale here on Amazon & my last electric toothbrush that I'd had for years almost if not a decade (also Oral-B) was dying on me, as a 24hr charge would last say 5 - 10 mins but in those 5 - 10 mins it was giving my teeth a more thorough clean than this does & on that I give you my word! - As for my old toothbrush "R.I.P Ol' Friend"Here is a note aimed at both Oral-B & Braun: "Start Supplying The Correct Plugs For The Country Your Selling In, The Whole World Isn't America! And one day you'll need us before we need you!"Now this here Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush again was on sale here on Amazon & that played a major part in my owning it, it looks good & it comes with a travel case (that I personally don't need) plus the best part for me was the genuine Oral-B replacement heads weren't completely & stupidly expensive!Now for the brush Gimmick #1: The brush lights up red if you're brushing too hard but if you brush that hard you'd bleed red blood from your gums. The brush has 3 settings, Daily Clean, Light Brush & Whitening Mode, now the Light Brush setting yes that has it's advantages as in say for a younger child, someone who's very recently had mouth surgery or someone elderly who's missing a good few teeth & the Daily Clean setting's great for just a general clean now as for the Gimmick #2: The Whitening Mode how? tell me how can an Electric Toothbrush starting off with a slow & soft brush that gradually speeds up to a complete stop & to then start that process all over again & again & again whiten your teeth? IT CAN'T! They'll stick the word Whitening on virtually everything to do with teeth cleaning these days almost completely ignoring general basic teeth, gum & oral healthcare!

    The retail price on these is ridiculous; they can often be found at £35 when on sale several times a year on the highstreet and as one of the 'sale' prices on Amazon.

    The product itself is good, and does the job. Nice and solid feeling, but a bit too smooth to get a firm grip on sometimes if your hands are wet. Unlike the older version of this toothbrush, there isn't a rubberised handle; the new one is all smooth plastic.

    Do note that it comes with a bathroom 2-pin connector - the type you usually find in hotels for shavers in other things. A PITA if you've not got one so you'll have to buy an adapter plug to charge it in the regular 3-pin mains. It also means an extra thing you have to carry if you're travelling and need to charge it. I've decided to buy a USB charging base where I can just plug in a regular cable and use my phone charging socket - saving me the hassle of carrying another plug/adapter.

    If you're wondering what the difference is between the Pro 3-series (3000, 3500, 3700, etc.), it's what you get in the box with the toothbrush - toothpaste, a head, several heads, travel case, or combination of.

    I bought this for my partner to replace the toothbrush he already had. He brushes his teeth too hard & for too long so the pressure sensor and the 2 minute (each quadrant- top,bottom, back & front 30 seconds) is perfect for him. There's one button you press for 3 modes but the sensor & timer function is automatic ie when you're brushing your teeth, the mode/vibration changes to let you know to change quadrant, the toothbrush has a light feature which flashes red if you're brushing too hard. The charge lasts a few days as well. Its a manual charger that comes with a shaver plug/travel plug. The toothbrush isn't too technical nor does it have loads of different modes, it's just a simple reasonably priced rechargeable toothbrush that does exactly what he wanted it to do.
