I bit the bullet and paid the cheap price hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed. I’ve had them for several weeks and they are just perfect. Very long battery, great sound quality, very comfortable on the head-ears and the app needed to install is easy to use.

These are well worth your money if your looking for something that sounds as good as its very expensive counterparts then buy these…

I recently purchased the Sony WH-CH520 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, and they have exceeded my expectations in many ways. These headphones are ideal for wearing during household chores, such as car detailing, DIY projects, or any other task where you don't want to disturb those nearby.

One of the standout features is their ability to block out exterior background noise effectively. This means you don't need to crank up the volume to dangerous levels to hear your music clearly. I was amazed at how much detail I could hear in songs that I had previously missed when using basic speakers or Google Nest speakers. As a music lover, this added clarity and richness really enhances the listening experience.

While these headphones may not offer studio-quality sound, they are a significant improvement over uncomfortable in-ear designs, which have never worked well for me personally. The over-ear design is much more comfortable for extended use.

The battery life is perhaps the most convenient feature of these headphones. They last incredibly long on a single charge, making them perfect for long sessions without the need for frequent recharging. The USB-C charging port is another great addition, offering fast and efficient charging.

The controls, while a bit awkward to gauge at first, have small dents that help identify the skip, pause, and volume buttons without needing to take the headphones off. This thoughtful design detail makes the headphones even more user-friendly.

One word of caution, though: if you have stalkers, be careful when wearing these headphones, as you won't hear them creeping up behind you!

Good set of headphones for the price

I've been eyeing Bluetooth headphones for some time before I decided to get this pair. I have a friend who raves about his Sony 1000XM4 noise cancelling headphones, and although these are clearly not in the same league, I was hoping to get some of the same design features at a lower price. I also wanted to experiment with an entry-level pair to see what features I wanted before paying a couple hundred pounds for a premium pair.

The quality of the sound is very good -- rich and clear. The downloadable app comes with several pre-set equalizer settings depending on what you're listing to, as well as a couple customisable settings which allow you to set your own. It's disappointing that the 360 Reality Audio feature is only available by subscription; I can presently live without it as I'm still experimenting with getting the most from the other app features. Using Sony's DSEE feature enhances the mid-tones to where I don't feel I need to set up the customisable equalizer just yet. The sounds quality is really good for the price point.

Comfort and ease of use is not as great as the sound. These are on-ear headphones, which can make your ears sensitive after some time, despite what seems like very soft ear pads; I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable wearing these for several hours straight. The tension in the headphones is strong enough to keep them in place during quite vigorous physical activity (I tested them out while installing some cabinets and they didn't budge), but as they're not waterproof / water resistant, I wouldn't wear them while working out. I'd therefore sacrifice some of the spring tension to make them more comfortable for longer periods of use.

The power, volume and navigation buttons on the bottom of the right headphone are also fiddley -- using them while wearing them is going to take some practice and I often end up turning them off instead of turning them up. Using the app is much easier, but you don't want to be pulling out your phone each time you want to turn up the volume. The location of the headphone buttons on the bottom of the earphone means you navigate using your thumb, but the tip of my thumb is not as sensitive as my index finger and I cannot feel the raised power icon at all while wearing them.

It's also appealing that they come in four different colours -- I bought them in blue, which makes a change from boring black.

Overall, a good quality set of headphones for the price, but if you wish to wear them for several hours, you may want to look at an over-ear pair.
