Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Depicting batman as a spoiled narcissistic adolescent was genius, and Will Arnett from "arrested development " was perfect for the role. I watch this movie regularly when I need a good laugh.
This review comes with a warning. Do not give your Roku stick to your mother-in-law in France before adjusting the permissions on it. There I was, happily minding my own business, and I get a Thank You For Renting Lego Batman movie. This was a few weeks after I had previously 'bought' Ninjago, another Lego film. Am I a Lego film nut? Has my account been hacked by nefarious kids in another part of the world? All was answered when it was discovered that the sales were made in Paris, on my old Roku. Now my mother-in-law is a French African lady in her 70s and I had never before imagined her as a Lego film fan. And, of course, it turned out that there hadn't been some bizarre conversion taking place in Paris. No, my mother-in-law had been babysitting my nephews and nieces and the eldest had decided that he would rather like to watch the films. Being far more savvy than her in using the remote, he had helped himself to the Lego oeuvre and Mr. Pugh had a small bill to pay. I am known as a generous person among my contemporaries so didn't pursue legal action against him. At least not until he reaches 18. Nevertheless, I was very relieved that he didn't access something much more troubling on Amazon Prime and managed to change the settings before he sat down to watch Cannibal Holocaust with his fried chicken.
I've actually watched a bit of the film previously and can report that is quite fun though a bit too 'knowing'. In other words, it tries a bit too desperately to wink to the adults at jokes that go above the heads of the kids. Nevertheless, it's pleasant enough and I eagerly look forward to the upcoming Lego versions of 'Glengarry Glen Ross' and 'The Hourglass Sanatorium'.
gotta love batjokes, pure cinema. Alfred Hitchcock is shaking in his grave (pretty sure he’s dead) never heard a better laugh in my life and the way he pronounced VIGILANTE is superb. if you’ve never seen this you might as well be dead, ur life is lacking.
Rapid fire, throughout the movie. I can see people get tired of that, but it's really amazing they managed to write and land that many jokes. Great comedy. Good selection of characters. Visuals get a bit messy sometimes with lots of moving pieces in stop-motion style. But otherwise, perfect movie for all ages.
