1. What should I do after pluged in this sata ssd?

You should use disk management tools to creat a new partition so to make this ssd meet different operating system requirements.

2. Why can't I find the read/write data after this sata ssd installed?

The fanxiang 2.5" ssd usually needs to be formatted in Disk Management before use.

lt is recommended to format it in the windows operating system and use NTFS format.

3. Why the usable capacity of the ssd that displays on a computer is less than its actual capacity?

It is because different algorithm was adopted.

Factory adopts Decimal. 1GB=1000MB=1000000KB.

Computer system adopts Binary.1GB=1024MB=1048576KB.

After tested, there is about 7% less if displays on a computer.

4. Would the S101 1tb ssd work in laptop?

Every fanxiang S101 and S102 Pro ssd drive works in laptop and decktop that has sata connetion.

5. Does the sata ssd with TLC solution work better or the QLC one?

The sata ssd with TLC flash solution has a longer lifespan than the one with QLC flash solution.

Successful full hard drive clone - Dell Laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, five or six years old. Never use it as so slow and I have a decent desktop. Nine minute boot time. A bit of research and I found out that Dell laptops, even new ones, are notoriously slow. After a bit of Youtube research, found out that the hard drive makes them slow and can be improved by replacing with a Solid State Drive. Bought the cheapest of these, 128Gb, for £13.90. Bought two Benfei sata to USB cables at £5.09 each. Downloaded Lazesoft Disk Image and Clone software for free, onto my desktop PC. Plugged the hard drive and SSD into the desktop, externally, using the cables, also bought from Amazon. Cloned the whole hard drive onto the SSD. Fitted the SSD into my Dell laptop and it works great, and is much faster than before. Laptop is never going to be super fast but is now useable and for a small amount of money. Go for the bigger drive if you use the laptop a lot. Highly recommended.

I bought this mainly for gaming and didn't want to break the bank and it honestly ticks all boxes. Read/write is pretty snappy, easy install into PC and games run nicely from it.
It feels a little less physically substantial than pricier brands, super lightweight and plastic-y but for the price you'd expect build quality to be lacking.
Overall if you're on a budget and want your money's worth you can't go wrong, the 2TB version is less costly than a 1TB version of other brands.
Would highly recommend.

So I decided I was going to upgrade my laptops SATA slot with this drive, 2TB for £94.99, what a steal.

So I pulled the bottom plate off the laptop, installed the thing, put everything back and booted up. This is where a lot of reviews will tell you the problems start when the disk doesn't initialize. Well don't listen to them, most don't and I'd be more worried if they did.

So got the thing initialized, all seemed good. Then I decided to put a few games on there to give it a test. all looked fine. powered the laptop off at the end of the day, came back to it today and low an behold it can't open the folders. hmmm ok so lets run some test on it, everything seems fine. so I decided the best thing to do was wipe and start again. Well formatting failed and then the disk refused to initialize at all after a restart.

That is the point I stopped. I was going to try using a Windows bootable to reformat the drive but way to much effort. I have just got back from the post office where the drive will be on its way back to Amazon (Who I will commend on making the returns process simple)

In summary, pay a little extra, get a known brand and save yourself the trouble. Brands like this tend to be hit and miss in in this case its a miss.

side note: ease of install. well if you know what you're doing easy if you're a tech novice I'd say 3 out of 10. physical install easy enough (even in a laptop) initializing the disk (obviously assuming no issues) is a bit tricky if you don't know where to look. Although that would be the same for any SATA SSD.

This SSD arrived within 24hrs of my order. I installed the drive on a 12year old tower desktop. I had the proper brackets to install the SSD in a 5" bay. I had to change the setting on the drive in disk management to Simple Basic and reformat the disk. I then used free Diskgenius to migrate the Windows 7 Home Edition to the new SSD. The desktop has a fairly good CPU but the hard drive was the bottleneck in the system . It took about 1 1/2 hours to complete everything. The first boot took about 25 seconds, but now only takes 10 to 15 seconds. I am not young (75Years old) and had no problems with the installation. I am very pleased with the performance . It is not lightning fast like the new PCs but is greatly improved . I am very happy with the results.

My PC is formatting this drive at a block rate of around 300mbps which is pretty standard. Formatting at this rate will take a little over an hour and I will monitor the drive's temperature and test transfer rate. I'm going to go ahead and install an OS on the drive because I think it will perform better as a primary drive. I will send a follow up review later.

The following days I installed my os and got my games running. I immediately noticed that so programs are running better and faster. The os boots up in less than 30 seconds. Read write rate is around 540mbps.

***Update*** its been a few weeks. This hard drive is running as my primary hard drive and is running stabily and normally so far. I notice no heat issues or slowness in fact my PC is about 60% faster than it was with the standard hard drive. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

***One Month Update** It has been almost a month and I am using this SSD drive as my primary drive. I have since upgraded memory and processor as well and all is functioning very well.

***July Update*** I've had this HD since April so going on 3 months now. It is still working great, no issues at all. My computer boots faster than ever and runs quietly and perfectly. I have no complaints, so far everything is perfect.

**AUGUST UPDATE**
Still working great, no issues with the drive. I'm going to buy another one soon to use as a redundancy backup drive.
