You Are Here Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

Marnie is stuck.

Stuck working alone in her London flat, stuck battling the long afternoons and a life that increasingly feels like it's passing her by.

Michael is coming undone.

Reeling from his wife's departure, increasingly reclusive, taking himself on long, solitary walks across the moors and fells.

When a persistent mutual friend and some very English weather conspire to bring them together, Marnie and Michael suddenly find themselves alone on the most epic of walks and on the precipice of a new friendship.

But can it survive the journey?

A new love story by beloved bestseller David Nicholls, You Are Here is a novel of first encounters, second chances, and finding the way home.

I was instantly and totally captivated by this book, so well written and really funny in parts. As a person living alone I recognised how really well the author captures exactly the feelings of loneliness and sadness experienced at times, but also the pure enjoyment of ‘doing your own thing’ and pleasing yourself to a certain extent. I loved both of the main characters, especially how they just clicked in many ways. So well observed and so much thought must have gone into this novel, I loved it.

You Are Here" is an instant classic from the author of "One Day." This Sunday Times bestseller captivates from the first page, with well-developed characters and a storyline that is both engaging and thought-provoking. The writing is eloquent and emotionally resonant, making it hard to put down. It explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery in a deeply moving way. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a profound and beautifully written novel. It's a must-read!

I've read all of Nicholls' books, each time hoping that they will reach the heights of One Day. Sadly, I don't think he'll hit that level again. You Are Here is pleasant and is a nice read before bed, but it won't live long in the memory.

I don't normally read romance type books but I enjoyed this immensley. It is a funny and charming telling of a walk (from coast to coast) during which we grow increasingly fond of the two main characters. Quite moving in parts and life affirming. Nicholls writes beautifully and I shall be checking out his other books.

Lovely insight into relationships and the C2C route. It's a bit unputdownable once you get entangled in the main characters, their personal stories and the living in the moment. Buy it, read it and savour it.

Wish I could begin this book again for the first time. It’s just wonderful. The dialogue is witty and real, the characters appealing, the scenery described so bountifully…one could almost feel the landscape breathing (and misting, and withering, and sky bluing)…would be a real boon for geologists too with all the enthusiasm for stone and rocks and earth’s shifting structures. I love this book

cant believe so many good reviews from so-called experts ... bland, empty, not believable characters ... and compare it with One Day is just blasphemy. I am afraid that after having read all his books, david nicholls is well past his prime

The easiest 5 stars ever. This book was warm and witty, everything you could hope for in a romcom. The only problem is that it’s left me wanting more. I could stay in Marnie and Michael’s world forever. Absolute perfection.

Also, this book was perfectly timed for any Tortured Poets fans out there, for more reasons than one.
