I've come to trust Philips since I needed baby products, and it's pretty much what you need when they start weaning. It's simple and easy (only 2 function buttons + power), so no unnecessary gadgets, gets the job done. The combination steamer/blender is the main attraction, and means you have less washing to do (not to mention that it was a treat at half-price).
There's so much fuss (and I am a fussy mother) and truth about steaming (baby) food being better as it retains more of the vitamins, etc...and because you're not supposed to season baby food, the health factor is well respected.
Appearance-wise, it's sturdy and does not take up too much space, if that's a concern. It does allow for substantial baby capacity, although you obviously have to cut food into pieces (a full charge may make up to 5 portions). The usual precautions are well detailed in the instructions (do read), and the only things it does not seem to process are rice and pasta (a shame though). The steaming time (max. 20 mn) depends on the quantity and category of food (put more rather than less water). The blender is quite powerful; the question is what to do with it once your baby steps up to bigger bits or eats normally? Ah well, we'll see...at worse, it will certainly not be the only piece of cookware piling up my kitchen... Improvement: if only it could make soups...
PS: some of the parts stain due to all the orangy-greeny-purplely food, at least rinse straight after use!
