We bought as an occasional seat for our grandchildren which we didn't want to keep permanently in our car.
It is very easy to install/remove and wonderfully stable - just make sure you push seat firmly back and use rear tether.
We put a blanket under the seat to avoid marking car upholstery.
But fantastic value - thoroughly recommended.
(Also been washed a few times - no issues)
