This is the second of these we have bought, having given the first to our son. We have several Ring cameras, as he does, and this one is as good as the others, with excellent and quick motion detection and an HD quality image.

As with other reviewers, I think it's fair now to say that Ring should perhaps be looking to using 2k or higher resolution, however, as when the "HD" image from this (and, indeed, all our Ring security cams) is enlarged, the image quality soon degrades such that it's hard to recognise a face or a number plate.

That all said, for almost all normal uses and occasions, the Ring cams all do their job exceptionally well, nowadays give rapid responses to motion and work with what is a brilliant and well-designed app. One important point is the quality of the Ring customer service which we have found, for many years in fact, to be exceptional. The cost of the cloud rental for saving recordings is often criticised, but for our four cameras, I think it is still £85 a year, which seems not too bad given the usefulness and ease of use of the cameras.
