There are plenty of compartments and each one has a label tag. The elasticated fastener is quite awkward to open & close 'cause it's short; the file doesn't stay upright when in use but taking that into account, it holds a decent amount and is well priced. It's natural state is closed so it has to be pulled apart to put things in but if the main intended use is convenient and neat storage, it serves this purpose well. I got it for magazines, daily post and bills so that they're all in one place and not lying around cluttering up the place - it's perfect for this, is good value and I recommend it for this use.
