All of the below review is true, but I have just crippled my rating of them since I have had them for just about two months and already one of the ear pieces has stopped working with a dodgy connection. It might be that they were accidently tugged one time and that may of loosened the connection but you certainly get what you pay for here in terms of durability.

Sound fairly descent for the price you get what you pay for. Plenty of bass which these arn't short of. Lots of treble to match. I use these with an ipod classic 160GB on the flat eq setting. They can go very loud, so expect to be deafened if you crank the volume. Maybe not the most clear is terms of vocal performance. The mids can be overshadowed by the large amount of treble, that said, these arn't studio quality by any means. They are fantastic if you love your electro house dance pop music r&b etc just don't buy them if your into classical music. It'll turn strings into a high pitched harmonica at loud volumes.
They are incredibly light to carry. The sound quality makes up for how they feel to hold. The cord looks incredibly cheap that said the cord is made in China which is clearly visable and JVC has taken no shame in this.
Overall a good pair of headache inducing earphones if you allow yourself to be subjected to the endless amounts of bass.
