This is an update but I’ll keep the original feedback.
The Ring technician are very good and spend a long time trying to resolve the issues but sadly the indoor wired cameras still hardly ever work. I have done everything I have been asked to do. I’ve increased our internet spread to the fastest one. I’ve changed the router channels from 6 to 1 and then 11. I’ve rebooted the cameras many times and have paid the £80 per year cost for recording to try and see if this helps. Still the cameras only record less the 40% of activity. If you are out and wish to log onto the cameras it only connects first time less the 20% of the time. You have to keep trying to connect to the cameras. On average about ten reconnects. Each time takes approx 20 seconds so approx 3.5 mins each time! When connected you have about 1 to 2 mins before it disconnects and then you have to reconnect again. Nothing more seems to be able to be done to improve the issues. It is however better then not having anything but my goodness it is so very frustrating when you need to check the cameras as by the time you connect the event has past! I do know of a few people who have the door camera and they seem to work well. These people are in the same block of homes and one using the same internet provider. I don’t know anyone who has the 2nd generation wired internal cameras. It is my opinion that the technology is simply not ready for market. Ring keeps updating the app to try and resolve issues as I’ve been informed but each time nothing seems to improve the connection. I have no idea if this is an issue that I am suffering alone with or if another make would be more ready for market and would be better then Ring. I would advise trying another make first and if they don’t work then try Ring. I don’t believe any of this technology is fit for purpose yet.
I look forwards to the day when I no longer need them as they do cause me some annoyance. Buyer beware is I guess my suggestion. If you do buy them then I hope you don’t have the same issues I am suffering with. Good luck 🤞

FIRST FEEDBACK
When it all works properly then this product is great. The only problem is that it only seems to work properly about 20% of the time. I have checked the speed of the router Wi-Fi and all is fine but after speaking to the technical help at Ring I now need to call my internet provider and change router channel to either 1 or 11. Ring says it is currently on 6. Now getting this action completed is not an easy task! My iPhone while checking while not at home connection is also good. However it doesn’t connect to the camera. Maybe after 10 tries it will finally connect to the camera. Also the motion recorder is very intermittent so I’m not paying the £80 per year to keep any records as it hardly ever worked while on the 30 day trial. Typical when you need to know what has happened the camera doesn’t record anything so what is the point of having it. I am thinking about returning the cameras but I am not certain any other make will be much better. I just don’t think the technology is ready for market yet. A great shame as when it does work well then this is a great product but sadly it rarely works well! I’d advise another make but that make maybe rubbish as well. I do know of a few people who have Ring door bells and have no issues with it. Sadly though not in my case. In my circumstances I need some kind of inside camera but if you don’t need any then I wouldn’t risk buying Ring and wait a few years until the technology is ready for market. Good luck if you do buy some internal cameras.
