Select Your Card Currency for Amazon Currency Converter
If your order is eligible for Amazon Currency Converter, the option to pay in your card currency will be displayed at checkout.
To determine your card currency, Amazon Currency Converter uses several pieces of information, such as the country or region your card was issued in. If you want to change your card currency, you can update it at the checkout:
Desktop
- From the Payment method section at checkout, select Change.
- From your list of payment methods, select your payment method of choice.
- While on your payment method, select Change card currency.
- Select My card is in a different currency.
- Select the currency of your payment method from the list.
- Select Use this payment method to continue.
Mobile
- From the Payment information section at checkout, select Payment method.
- From your list of payment methods, select your payment method of choice.
- Select Change card currency.
- Select My card is in a different currency.
- Choose the currency of your payment method from the list.
- Select Continue.
Once you select your card currency, Amazon Currency Converter automatically displays your payment total in your card currency on the order summary page, or the product detail page for Buy Now ordering, so you know how much you're paying before you pay.
Note:
- Amazon stores your selected currency to use on future eligible purchases on Amazon websites where Amazon Currency Converter is available.
- If you don't see the option to pay in your card currency at checkout, then your order or payment method is not eligible for Amazon Currency Converter. See Amazon Currency Converter Requirements or Amazon Currency Converter Supported Currencies for more information.
- Setting your display currency through Currency of Preference allows you to view prices in a currency of choice. To learn more about setting your Currency of Preference, visit About Currency of Preference.
