I bought this when mounting the indoor camera with trunking in my house, this provides you with more than enough cable to get the job done and also plugs straight into the back of the camera and any standard USB charger or USB enabled plug socket like I have got.

This cable isn't designed to extend the cable that comes with the Ring indoor camera. It is there to totally replace it. I needed the extra length to reach the power strip under a media wall, and this was the solution.

In my experience this only fits the new style cam that has the sliding lens cover. It wouldn't plug into the old style cam. Would only go in about half way.

What I Like - Great when you need a longer cord for the indoor ring cam gen 2. Pretty handy to have and definitely make sure you buy the proper one for your generation of camera.

What I Don’t Like - I have several cable for the gen 1 cameras but they are more powerful it seems. For some reason Ring had to switch up the power cords for the indoor cams. A pain, but us as users don’t have a choice when we purchase their products. I wish Ring would have thought this over.
