Study Tour Nigeria - Abuja, Ibadan, and Lagos

Dear Sir, Madam,

The French embassy in Nigeria and Campus France Paris will hold for the first time a “Study Tour” in Nigeria from January 28 to February 1st, 2019, in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan.

 We offer to meet Nigerian institutions, and Nigerian pupils and students and discover the opportunities of the country in terms of academic partnerships.

 With a population of over 165 million inhabitants, Nigeria is the first economic power in the African continent. Economic and social development of the country requires qualified workforce with skills adapted to the needs of the country.

 Every year, about 1.2 million young Nigerians take the entrance examination to the university in Nigeria, but the Nigerian higher education can only take 500,000. This key figures proves the potential of Nigerian students, who are more and more to want to study for part or all of their higher education career abroad. So far, France was struggling to convince students, but is now gradually interesting, thanks (among others) to the development of many programs taught in English.

 The “Study Tour” is an opportunity to meet Nigerian higher education institutions, potential partners such as companies, ministries and main scholarship grants operators in Nigeria, but also high school students and higher education students.

 For the first edition, registration fees are covered. Participating institutions will just have to pay for their mission expense (accommodation, international and internal transports, etc.).
