From 1 August 2024, the University Statement on Freedom of Speech, the Code of Practice on Meetings and Public Gatherings on University Premises and the summary University Free Speech Principles will be rescinded and amalgamated into a new University Code of Practice on Freedom of Speech. This is to comply with the requirements of the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act 2023.
The Code of Practice was published in the Reporter on 15 May 2024 and was approved by Grace 3 of 12 June 2024.
