“Research conducted by Dr. Bateman (University of Arkansas) in 2021 demonstrated that TENCHU 20SG can achieve 75% control if applied early to 1st to 2nd instar FAW. If applied a little later to larger larvae, 3rd- 4th instars, control drops to 55%; TENCHU 20SG has a 2ee label that explains this.” "If FAW are attacking heading rice, TENCHU 20SG will give good suppression. If under heavy FAW pressure, the best choice is to use Intrepid 2F under the Sec. 18 labeling. University publications rate Intrepid control of FAW as a 9; that means 90-100% control.” In response to the question "As Intrepid 2F (methoxyfenozide) is an insect growth regulator and TENCHU 20SG (dinotefuran) is a nerve poison, can I tank-mix them and not cause a reduction in FAW control?" Long responds; “The two different modes of action do not interfere with each other and combining Intrepid 2F with TENCHU 20SG will cause an additive effect resulting increased control of FAW. Considering the different formulation types, mixing order is important. Dissolve TENCHU 20SG into water first, then add Intrepid 2F and mix well. Last, add COC to the tank.” For more information contact Laura Crawford or Charles Hoover.

Well said Matt Plitt (Valent U.S.A. LLC) and Jeff Tarsi (Nutrien)... accurate forecasting in #ag is key to managing inventory to ensure our customers have products when they need them

Rice stink bug control was discussed in a recent article in the Delta Farm Press. "When it comes to rice stinkbug, Midsouth rice farmers have few insecticide options and experience widespread failures with pyrethroid products like Lambda-Cy. Through university trials in Arkansas, research confirmed the quality and economic net return of all the available products, with two standing out above the rest. The big takeaway were the two products, Tenchu 20SG by Belchim USA and Endigo ZCX by Syngenta, that provided more effective control of rice stinkbug. While Tenchu is labeled for use in rice, Endigo is not." https://lnkd.in/ezBW_cyu
