Congratulations to Jonathan's Landing Foundation! 👏🎉 Their commitment to empowering individuals with autism is truly inspiring. We are honored to support Jonathan's Landing Foundation in creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce in Central Florida. #AutismSupport #AutismAwareness #CareerPathways #Inclusion #Diversity
We’ve got $1 million worth of great news! Jonathan’s Landing has received state budget allocations from Governor Ron DeSantis to build a first-of-its-kind job training program to help adults with autism transition into the workforce. Championed by Representative Keith Truenow and Senator Dennis Baxley — as well as the expert team at Converge Public Strategies and community partners like Pamela Nabors (CareerSource) and Alexander N. Cartwright (UCF) — we are so honored to start creating career pathways in our community. A staggering 85% of adults with autism are underemployed, and we’re leveraging these state funds to do something about it. Here's how we're tackling this head-on in Florida: 📲 Partnering with industry leaders, like CTIA and Chris Johncke at iFixYouri Corp, to create a national mobile device repair & service curriculum leading to certifications & jobs! ⚙️ Giving adults with autism a path forward to thrive in these areas by leveraging their focus, precision, and technical skills. And this is JUST the beginning.💙 Read Jason Eichenholz’s op-ed in the Orlando Sentinel to learn what we’re building and the impact this will have for families in Florida 👇 https://lnkd.in/eqTt92dw
