Our DEIB Council recently hosted a training on the topic of socioeconomic status and its impact on our community. We explored how factors like education, income, profession, and family background influence our member’s financial decisions. Socioeconomic status not only affects overall economic stability, but also access to financial education and financial services. By understanding these dynamics, we are finding new ways to serve our members better. This is just one additional way we are like a bank, only better.

It was a beautiful (and a bit humid!) night for a stroll in the Mass Ave Arts District last night for Indy Summer Experience event #3. Butler alum Nathan Smurdon, MBA led us on a tour through Mass Ave and the Lockerbie Square Historic Neighborhood, home to the James Whitcomb Riley house. We were then treated to appetizers and dessert at Indy staple the Rathskeller, located in the Athenaeum. Thank you to our alumni and community members who shared some fresh wisdom (and were all-around great hype people for the city!), representing Elements Financial, Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, Nine13sports, and Prolific. A special shout-out to our sponsor Elements Financial for helping to make this amazing program happen! #ButlerISE2024

Morales Group is all about supporting our teammates holistically. 🫶🏼 At each of our monthly L.E.G.O.S. meetings, we give our teammates the opportunity to nominate people who they believe embody one or more of our core values: Be Humble, Be Courageous, Be a Light, + Be Gritty. During the meeting, our Morales Unidos Network leaders were nominated and highlighted for their commitment to fostering inclusivity, diversity, and connection within the Morales Group Family. The Morales Unidos Networks were created to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures and experiences that make our team unique and strong. Following the meeting, we hosted a refreshing Health Fair! Team members enjoyed free massages and connected with various health and wellness companies, emphasizing our commitment to their overall well-being. At Morales Group, we believe in nurturing both the mind and body of our team. A huge thank you to UMR Medical Insurance, Marquee Health, 401k Retirement, SRG Boxing, Massage Heights, Chiro One Wellness Centers, Stretch Zone, + Elements Financial for making this event a success! Here’s to continued unity, wellness, and growth! 💪🏽❤️ #MoralesGroup #LEGOS #moralesunidosnetwork #healthfair #community #wellbeing #Inclusivity #Diversity

Recently our HR team had an incredible day volunteering with DREAM Alive, Inc., teaching 25 high school students the art of resume writing! The workshop covered the importance of resumes and best practices for each section, then guided the students in building their own from scratch. It was amazing to see these young scholars engage and grow their skills. Thanks to Marian University Indianapolis for hosting us in their beautiful campus space.
