Exciting news from the 2024 National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Annual Business Meeting in Chicago! KAI President Darren L. James, FAIA, NOMA, NCARB, had the honor of participating alongside members of the 55 U.S. architectural licensing boards. Delegates came together to vote on new resolutions, hear key updates from leadership, and elect new officers for the FY 2025 Board of Directors. It was an incredible opportunity to reconnect with industry friends and collaborate on shaping the future of architecture. Play Ball! ⚾️ We had a blast today at the ribbon cutting for the KAI-designed YMCA Adaptive Sports Complex! We are beyond proud of the $5.2 million 5,723 SF project at the South County YMCA campus, which is all about making sports accessible for players with disabilities. The complex has some awesome features, including a field named after St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, a barrier-free dugout, synthetic turf field, accessible field and walking track, and a sensory-rich playground. This incredible project was brought to life by Cardinals Care, the team’s charitable foundation dedicated to caring for kids, who teamed with the Gateway Region YMCA, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League. It’s another inspiring example of how we’re committed to transforming communities, one project at a time.
