About us
Camaraderie Foundation’s mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war through counseling, emotional and spiritual support for all branches of Military Service Members, Post - 9/11 Veterans and their family members. We strongly believe it’s our mission to serve Military families by building a strong community of support around them. The Foundation will provide financial assistance and promote counseling to these Military families from a private sector to supplement and add to existing government programs. Our warriors and their families are facing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Military sexual trauma, divorce, depression, anxiety, spousal abuse, child abuse and other problems. With your support we have the ability to help these Service Members and their families.

Saving Families. Saving Lives. Healing the invisible wounds of war. This is what the Camaraderie Foundation has been doing for 15 years now. This morning, in recognition of National PTSD Awareness Day, the organization hosted a breakfast in Orlando. Business and community leaders from across Central Florida (including Tampa) were on hand to hear some powerful testimonials and to learn about the impact that CAM (the affectionate nickname) has been making year after year. Below are the personal remarks from MG Bill Bond, US Army (Ret). Bill is a long-serving Board Member with CAM and he tells the story of why he credits the organization for saving his son’s life. I apologize for the rather amateur recording. I want to use this post to also recognize the courage and resilience of Doug W.. Doug is a military veteran and retired first responder. He told his story for the first time in public. We were all transfixed hearing about his desperation and then his salvation through counseling and the amazing support of his wife. There was a good bit of dust in the room too and that’s why folks were rubbing their eyes. As Doug wrapped up his testimonial, he emphasized that there is help available, you just need to ask. If you or anyone you know needs help, do not suffer in silence. Reach out. We all deserve to be whole and in a better place. #ptsd #mentalhealth #awareness #savingfamilies #savinglives #invisiblewounds #ask

Today we celebrate Old Glory, today we celebrate the day in 1777 when the United States approved the design for its first flag. God Bless America! #usa #america #flag #flagday #patriotic

💙SAY THEIR NAME. We hope this weekend you get to spend time with the people who mean the most to you. As you gather to enjoy the weather, the traditional BBQ, the beach and time outdoors, take note of the little things, the faces, the laughter, the emotions. In the end, those little things are the big things and what matters most. Tomorrow is not promised, so this weekend take time to pause IN REMEMBERANCE of the sacrifice our freedom stands on. Remember them. Say their name. Above all… ❗NEVER FORGET

A beautiful morning at Eagle Creek Golf & Country Club as Camaraderie Foundation hosts its annual Pars & Stripes Golf Tournament. This event began as a brainchild of Ret. Colonel Lee Barnes, prior chairman of the board, and whose passion and commitment for Camaraderie Foundation lives on as we host this event in his memory. A special thank you to Tito's Handmade Vodka and Blue Cord, our title sponsors as well all the other organizations represented on the course and who contributed to the event by sponsoring a hole, beverages, meals, shirts as well as welcoming veterans to play as part of their foursomes. Active service members, veterans, DOD, industry and nonprofits from across the region gathered all week for #SOFWEEK, an event organized by the Special Operations Foundation #SOF. After a full day of meetings, workshops, networking and pitch competitions, we had an opportunity to gather aboard the American Victory Ship & Museum for camaraderie and in solidarity thanks to the generosity of our host, Bruce Parkman, President of the The Mac Parkman Foundation who held a special gathering and concert supporting our collective missions. Thank you for the opportunity to showcase Camaraderie Foundation while generating awareness related to #TBI, #mentalhealth, #PTSD, and #suicideprevention related to our veterans and their families. Stop by booth #3653 to visit and learn more about our mission and ways in which we can partner in healing the invisible wounds of war.
