📚Reading is on the rise at #JacksonvilleJobCorps thanks to the efforts of one determined student. Maya, a Clinical Medical Assistant student, is encouraging students to get absorbed in good books. Maya loves reading and is trying to encourage more students to do the same. Last week students brought their 📖books and visited the local library for a Bring Your Own Book discussion. #JacksonvilleJobCorps #ReadingRocks #JobCorpsWorks #StudentSuccess #SuccessStory #CareersBegin Here

It was a big day for 👩🏾⚕️Clinical Medical Assistant students from #PittsburghJobCorps as they visited the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) 👨🏾⚕️School of Nursing. The students enjoyed a tour of the facility, a good question and answer session, and a chance to observe the Simulation lab. The lab is designed to provide immersive learning experiences. 🎉Another great Job Corps Day! Our thanks to the UPMC. #PittsburghJobCorps #ClinicalMedicalAssistant #Learning #JobCorpsWorks #UniversityofPittsburghMedicalCenter #CareersBeginHere

We♥ love to tell success stories at Job Corps. Wagner was just 16 years old when he came to #JacksonvilleJobCorps. He opted for 💻Computer Tech training and is now a student employee. Wagner then decided that he wanted to pursue a military career and was recently sworn in to the United States Army. 🎉Congratulations, Wagner—you’ve shown incredible growth! #JacksonvilleJobCorps #StudentSuccess #SuccessStory #USArmy #JobCorpsWorks #CareersBeginHere

The City of Denison is keeping our #DenisonJobCorps students busy, with 🛠hands-on projects for work-based learning (a.k.a internships). Recently, 9 students went to Maxwell Park to replace posts on a shelter house that was originally built by students in 1981. Ten more students went to Washington Park to help clean up the 🌳park for a Heritage Day event. Students also worked to pull weeds and help beautify the uptown area to prepare for a parade. What great teamwork! 🎉We are proud of our students and our partnership with the City of Denison! #DenisonJobCorps #WorkBasedLearning #Beautification #JobCorpsWorks #CareersBeginHere

At #PittsburghJobCorps, 🎉we love how invested our Community Relations Council (CRC) members are in our students. They truly care about the 🏫education and outcomes for every youth on campus. At this month’s meeting, our CRC President swore in members of the new Student Government Executive Board. Then those student leaders then got to take part in the rest of the meeting. 🌟Democracy in action! #PittsburghJobCorps #CommunityRelationsCouncil #StudentGovernmentAssociation #JobCorpsWorks #CareersBeginHere

#OldDominionJobCorps was honored to host Tim Saunders, Business Outreach & Awareness, Traci Blido, Executive Director of Central Virginia Workforce Development Board, Carrie Roth, Director of the Virginia Department of Workforce Development and Advancement, along with Anthony Reedy, Executive Director of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, and Nicole Overley, Virginia's Deputy Secretary of Labor for Workforce Development. 🎉These esteemed leaders traveled from Richmond to learn about our collaborative approach to serving businesses and Old Dominion Job Corps. They also spent time touring our 🌲campus in Monroe, where they learned about training programs for high-demand careers and met some of our great students who are preparing to enter our workforce. Thank you, Tim, Traci, Carrie, Anthony, and Nicole for spending the afternoon with us! #OldDominionJobCorps #WorkforceDevelopment #CareersBeginHere #JobCorpsWorks

The City of Denison partnership with #DenisonJobCorps is going so well that we named the city as our Employer of the Quarter. 🏫Student Government Association (SGA) president Faisal Muya presented the award to Sam Ellis for being an exceptional mentor to our work-based learning students (a.k.a. interns) as they help the City’s 🌳Parks and Recreation Department. The award plaque reads, “Employer Partner of the Quarter Award presented to Sam Ellis with the City of Denison in recognition of your continuous dedication in helping us train young professionals.” City of Denison Mayor Pam Soseman was on hand for the celebration. 🎉We can’t wait to see how this partnership continues to grow! #DenisonJobCorps #WorkBasedLearning #CityofDenison #Internships #JobCorpsWorks #CareersBeginHere #EmployerofQuarter
