    Meet your inner saboteurs! We all have traits that can be strengths or weaknesses. But when taken to extremes, our positive qualities can become self-sabotaging behaviors. Meet the 9 saboteurs that might be influencing your career and life: Controller: The micromanager in us all, seeking order but potentially stifling creativity. Hyper-Achiever: Always chasing the next goal, but never pausing to celebrate wins. Restless: Full of ideas but struggling with follow-through. Stickler: Detail-oriented to a fault, potentially lacking flexibility. Pleaser: Empathetic, but often at the expense of personal needs. Hyper-Vigilant: Highly aware, but prone to unnecessary anxiety. Avoider: Sidestepping conflict, sometimes at the cost of progress. Victim: Self-aware, but trapped in a cycle of negativity. Hyper-Rational: Brilliant in tasks, but potentially lacking in emotional intelligence. The trick isn't to eliminate these traits – they all stem from positive qualities. Instead, it's about recognizing when they're serving us and when they're holding us back. By understanding our saboteurs, we can harness their strengths while mitigating their negative impacts.     There is immense value in seeking feedback to hone your interviewing skills, even though it can feel uncomfortable or vulnerable. Interviewing is such a high-stakes, singular activity that there are often limited opportunities to make that crucial impression and land the role. That's why it's essential to pressure-test your performance beforehand by any means possible. Recording yourself may feel awkward at first, but it's a game-changer. You get to experience your interview delivery from the other side of the table. Are you speaking too quickly? Fidgeting distractingly? Underselling your accomplishments? Seeing it playback lets you self-correct. Even more invaluable is practicing with a trusted partner, whether that's a former colleague, mentor, or professional coach. Someone who can offer an objective third-party perspective and constructive feedback through the lens of an interviewer. If you're feeling resistant to either of these options, really examine that hesitation. What's at the root of that discomfort? Is it a fear of confronting perceived weaknesses or flaws? Recognize that proactively identifying areas for refinement is an act of strength, not weakness. You're investing in yourself. The more frequently you run through these practice sessions, the more data points you collect to iterate and improve. Each round is a chance to uplevel your interviewing ability until it becomes an authentic representation of your professional brand. Commit to it, even if your first instinct is to shrink away.     Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool, but it will never eliminate the need for the human touch. But hybrid intelligence, which combines the unique strengths of both human and artificial intelligence, could become a gamechanger. On the human side, we bring flexibility, creativity, empathy, intuition and the ability to find commonalities between seemingly disparate ideas. Our minds can imagine novel solutions and apply first-principles thinking in uncharted territory. Machine intelligence, on the other hand, offers speed, efficiency, scalability, and consistency in processing vast amounts of data and executing algorithms. AI can tirelessly perform complex analysis and spot patterns invisible to the human eye. By leveraging AI to augment and enhance human intelligence, we open up incredible possibilities for innovation and problem-solving. It's about seamlessly integrating the best of both worlds. Developing your hybrid intelligence skills is becoming a major competitive advantage, both for job-seeking and on-the-job performance.
