Did you know that driving a fleet EV can cost as little as $0.03 per mile? For fleet managers, going electric is a strategy that results in lower TCO—even with the upfront investment including the costs to transition your ICE vehicles to EVs and add the necessary charging support. Strategic planning for your fleet includes choosing the right vehicles and developing a reliable charging infrastructure that supports your business needs and your fleet drivers, but having the right strategy can result in major rewards. . Our latest article breaks down the upfront cost of fleet electrification and explores long-term savings to help you make an informed decision as you plan to electrify your fleet https://lnkd.in/dFKy3-fm . . . . #Fleet #EVs #FleetManagement #ElectricVehicles #FleetDriver #FleetElectrification #ElectricFleet #Electrification #Qmerit #QmeritCertified

What happens when potential EV consumers don’t see EVs during their daily routines? 1/3 of US consumers haven’t been exposed to EVs or the benefits that they bring to drivers. EV driving means lower daily driving costs, a quiet driving experience, dependable acceleration, infrequent maintenance needs, and state-of-the-art technology. Increased visibility of electric vehicles can help to increase the adoption rate of EV leading the auto industry to become more sustainable. Enabling EVs to not just receive energy from the grid, but to also send it back to the driver's own home, bidirectional charging is revolutionizing the way we use our cars. Helping EV drivers to reduce their energy bills, make their homes more sustainable, and increase their energy resilience, many EV manufacturers are now taking advantage of this new type of charger such as Kia, Volkswagon, and GM. Qmerit is proud to help support leading automakers as their preferred installer in the bidirectional charging revolution as we transform our transportation and our lives. E-mobility is set to significantly impact the energy transition, offering more than just climate-neutral driving; the batteries of electric vehicles can serve as temporary energy storage. This doesn’t only impact vehicle owners, but can also benefit the grid, making it more flexible. Power2Drive Europe, a major exhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility, will showcase the latest technologies and discuss necessary regulatory changes for bidirectional charging at its conference. Check out how vehicle-to-home, vehicle-to-building, and vehicle-to-grid solutions work and how they are changing the world of electrification for the better: https://hubs.ly/Q02DrXv20 . . . . #Electrification #Qmerit #QmeritCertified #EVBattery #BidirectionalCharging

The global transition to clean energy may not be as costly as often portrayed, according to a new analysis from RMI. The report argues that many estimates overlook the decrease in fossil fuel spending, leading to inflated figures. RMI's analysis suggests that global capital spending on energy supply is on track to increase by 2 percent per annum, reaching $2.5 trillion in 2030, which when considering the overall economic growth, is not a significant rise. Check out the full report’s analysis on why projects aren’t as costly as they seem: https://hubs.ly/Q02y_VBp0 . . . . #Qmerit #QmeritCertified #Electrification #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy

Goldman Sachs Exchanges says that electric vehicles could make up half of all vehicle sales by 2035. While we are still in the early stages of transportation electrification, they predict that the industry will undergo a profound transformation in years to come. They predict that prices of EVs will greatly drop as a result of decrease cost of materials. Almost one third of the purchase cost of an EV comes from its battery alone. Battery costs are expected to drop by 45% from 2023 to 2025. EV batteries are also becoming more accessible as manufacturers are focusing on using less rare earth for the EV batteries. In 2023, Tesla announced they had cut heavy rare earths by 25% and plan to make all next generation models without using any rare earths.
