Congratulations to the Department of Energy's Office of Legacy Management on receiving the EPA’s Site Reuse Award! We’re proud to support important projects such as this.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognized LM for its beneficial reuse work at the Tuba City Disposal Site in Arizona with the National Federal Facility in Site Reuse Award. The site received the award in the 2024 Superfund Non-National Priorities List category for exceptional groundwater remediation. https://bit.ly/46ehFLj Photo: The 285kW solar array and the facilities building at the Tuba City Site in Arizona.

What an incredible legacy to be a part of!

June 22nd marks ASRC’s 52nd Incorporation Anniversary! One of the 12 Alaska Native regional corporations, ASRC was created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971 following years of legal battles over our ancestral lands. ASRC was the only Alaska Native corporation to vote against ANCSA when the final version was presented to the Alaska Native Federation in 1971. Despite their opposition, the legislation passed, and our early leaders abided by the terms of the law and began building the foundation of ASRC. Today, we have grown from nearly 3,800 original shareholders to over 14,000 shareholders. The decisions made by our early leaders set ASRC on a course of success that continues to today. By remaining committed to our Iñupiaq values, ASRC can continue achieving new heights.

As we enter the third week of National Safety Month, we focus on Risk Reduction. With record high temperatures across the US, it’s crucial to emphasize heat safety. At ASRC Industrial, we prioritize the well-being of our team by implementing effective safety measures. Key Heat Safety Tips: Hydrate Regularly: Drink water every 15 minutes. Dress Light: Wear lightweight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothing. Take Breaks: Rest in shaded or air-conditioned areas. Schedule Wisely: Plan strenuous activities for cooler parts of the day. Monitor Symptoms: Know the signs of heat-related illnesses and how to respond. Stay tuned for more safety content throughout the month! #NationalSafetyMonth #HeatSafety #RiskReduction #ASRCIndustrial

We are truly honored to be a part of the team that is making a collective investment to support children in our community. Through a partnership with UCORStrata-G, LLC, and Longenecker & Associates, Inc., this important initiative helps the East Tennessee Children's Hospital expand behavioral health care at their Oak Ridge Pediatrics facility. We can all make a positive impact by prioritizing mental health.

United Cleanup Oak Ridge LLC (UCOR) and its business partners Strata-G, RSI, and Longenecker & Associates are making a combined $645,000 donation to be distributed over the next five years to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to expand regional behavioral health outreach at Children’s Oak Ridge Pediatrics facility. Oak Ridge Pediatrics will be the first primary care location in the Children’s Hospital network to offer behavioral health care. The donation will allow Children’s Hospital to hire two full-time behavioral care clinicians; purchase new technology; and offer mental health outreach education and first aid. UCOR has been a long-standing supporter of Children’s Hospital and was involved in the emergency department expansion and hematology-oncology playroom. UCOR President and CEO, Ken Rueter, also sits on the hospital’s board.

We are honored to be a part of the team that helped achieve these historic agreements.

With crews finishing soil cleanup at the East Tennessee Technology Park this summer, we're shifting focus to groundwater. That's our final phase of work at the site. That can move forward now with two recently signed agreements with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. https://lnkd.in/etF62WZH
