Last night the World Packaging Organisation held the annual WorldStar Packaging Awards alongside of ProPak Asia in Bangkok, Thailand. Two full tables of an Australian delegation came together to celebrate our Australian and New Zealand award winning packs. The PIDA award winning designs took out third in the world - behind Japan and Germany - for the most awards received in the 2024 round. It is always special to see our first time winners receiving their awards such as Bunzl and Flavour Makers. Four highlights of the night were: *Seeing Gyorgy Viszkei receive the Lifetime Achievement Award *Seeing Edna from Ghana accept the Best in Show student award *Finding out on the night that Coles won the SILVER President’s award and the AIP President John Bigley accepting the trophy on their behalf *Personally handing the most coveted GOLD award for Sustainability to Alan Adams - GAICD for the JBS solution. As always a very special event that embodies global recognition of outstanding innovation in packaging design. Congratulations to all of the winners from across the globe and we can’t wait for the 2025 edition!
